I actually find that my OG Moto X takes better photos indoors than the Z3c, shockingly enough. At least the too-clever-by-half AE and AF on that device eventually yielded nice pics once you get used to the odd interface. But there is no trick to getting the Z3c to take decent photos indoors. What a shame.

Have you guys considered its possible your having bad camera sensors?
I compared my pictures from the low light galaxy S6 and my Sony Z3C.

The Z3C had really sharper pictures in low light in same conditions.

I had the same discussion in samsung galaxy S6 forum, there were alot of variations in the camera sensors in quality.

Because there was a lot of discussion we started to wonder maybe there is quality difference in same camera sensors, and guess what yes there was :).

Just giving my 2 cents guys

It's always possible that some people have a bad sensor, but I don't see that as being the case here. The smaller pixels creamed into our sensor, plus the poor image processing is what causes our less than impressive results. As I said in the original post, the camera isn't living up to the expectations of 2014/2015 technology. Though, simply using a different camera app appears to make things worse, not better as others have claimed.
