What is this connector for .. ? And where to find a replacement .. ?
My new lcd+Frame hasn't come with a pre-installed one, so I have damaged it while I was trying to move it from the old frame to the new one.

Well, I just had a screen arrive today and noticed the same part missing. Not sure what it's for yet. Previous new screens did not have this part missing! Thankfully I have 2 old cracked screens and they have the part so I just need to swap it over to the new one.

Maybe email the supplier of your screen and ask them, they might know.

Well yes this is a bit of a problem. I tried to take it off one of my old screens but it broke very easily in the process. I've got one left. It's a flex cable, it's not stiff, it's soft and it will tear like a piece of thin plastic. Second screen in a row I've ordered with problems.

My replacement digitizer had the part already there. It is labled VZW 9C in the photo of my broken digitizer. None of the parts stores that I looked at have the part (by picture ID). The video that was most helpful to me in screen replacement was
and the part is removed beginning at the 6:58 time marker. The guy in the video at first thinks it's a grounding point and later says maybe a blue tooth antenna. The gold showing in your photo is only a small piece of the whole part, which wraps around the top of the frame and extends to the mid-point of the top of the phone. Sorry, I can't find out any positive facts about it.

I have the US996usa (non-Sprint) V20 and I believe it is physically identical to the Verizon VS995. I am on the Verizon network. Since the part bears a VZW 9C label, if you are not on Vz you may not even miss it? Is there a function which no longer works?

After the LCD has been replaced, I haven't tried any SIM yet. Rather than that, nothing was encountered.
