Sound (reduced volume) since May update

So,
I have a theory that may be supported by the official announcement by Miui here:

There are two models of the A1: MDI2 (India) & MDG2 (Global), I understood the only difference was the MDG2 has more bands (eg It has B20 I need in UK) that are not needed in India.
I think also the MDI2 is marked "made in India" and MDG2 is marked "made in China".

My MDG2 (64GB Black) has never been affected by low volume (or hissing for that matter)

The official statement says "Special tuning has been introduced to deliver a better experience for Indian users", this suggests the change was aimed at the MDI2 only, I open this poll to see who is affected.

I added Custom ROMs in case the two models have different hardware

I have the MDG2, made in China, volume is affected.

I have the same issue and it's really annoying. I think that we are not reading the annoucment correctly. Probably only the third paragraph is for Indian customers - I think they mean that all devices are affected (the first two paragraphs are for everyone) and the Indian version has even more "tuning" (the last paragraph is only for it)

Lower volume, but max volume is still high enough to drive all my headphones (I'm not going above ~70% of max volume). Hissing has been improved. I'm happy with the change.
