[SOUNDMOD][06/08] SOUND EXPLOSION by DOC3000 [SENSE4.4.2] [DEODEX/ODEX]

Somebody posted in the M8 thread that he accidentally flashed sound explosion in his htc one m8 combined with project era and that the combo sounds amazing. He also mentioned that it was not intended to run on the M8 but it works for him. He has viperonem8 2.1 running, so as me!

Is it sure to flash it on the m8?

Hi Ergo Proxy, in that thread I only find an m7 4.4.2 mod file to download (it is an m7 thread). Is this the one intended for m8 also? I am now in 4.4.3 as well.

Ohh my bad thought it was for m8, all I can say is really to make a back up and try that mod not this one and if it doesn't work then I can try help you cuz the mod isn't intended for 4.4.3 but your gonna have more luck with that mod

Just to let you know that I've flashed the soundmod that you recommended me, and it worked fine on my M8, 4.4.3.
It sounds better than Boomsound, I don't know why HKmod didn't work anymore as it did before (on 4.4.2), but this mod sounds very alike to that previous hk. I like it very much. Thank you again for your guidance!

I did ask alot this few times but its seems that no one response. i really MISS that MOD since i move from m7 to m8 and all this Updates now with 4.4.4 this MOD is not working there is no diference in the sound even in 4.4.3 is not fully working i know that because i was using this MOD from the very beginingw when the latest ANdroid Build on m7 was 4.4.2 and i know how the MOD sound like.

Nope before i was Using it on my M7 since the very begining of the MOD was working fine until 4.4.2 after the 4.4.3 Update was working again BUT not fully i can say that because i know it from the very begining how the sound sound like with the MOD the same tracks quality the same stock player etc the same Earphones for the test, but anyway i keep using it even is not 100% Working still was fine.

After this i move to M8 and of course flash it imideately on 4.4.3 the same story was working But not the full potential if u know what i mean.

After the Upgrade to 4.4.4 Thats it all finished and there is not diference with the MOD or without the MOD

I did try all versions from the original Thread anyway im using SENSE 6 ROM but i did try all 3 Variants for Android 4.4 for 4.4.2 and for CM

the same result.

Because the new Android build use new Audio files i think the problem is not so BIG i mean they are just moved on a diferent directory or have diferent names in the new Kitkat and this is why is not working anyway there is no other reason for that.

Someone with knowladge who know how to port things just have to UPDATE to work for 4.4.4 and even Lolipop Audio files all other inside the MOD itself is pretty FINE i remember very well how the MOD sound like very deep RICH sound full and Bass.

I didn`t try your not because is for the MINI because is again for the same Android Version 4.4.2 so i think the result will be the same since the new Audio files.

I see, I will look into it but in the mean time could you do a back up and try this mod as people have reported this to work on different HTC phones. Your feedback will be useful on how this mod behaves.

Alright so I found out that Doc got the files from BBK Vivo xPlay. I tried looking for a 4.4.4 rom for that device but I don't think it has one... anyways BBK has released a new phone called Vivo x5 Max with 4.4.4 which is supposed to be waaaayyy better than Vivo xPlay. I've tried looking for a rom for this phone but its really hard to find one. With the current free time I have left it might take a while so if anyone can find a download link for this rom or even a system dump would help tremendously

Yes i saw it its a brand new device will try to search and find some ROM etc.

Anyway we don`t know for sure do the NEW mean BETTER because often some new stuffs are getting worse im talking exactly for the AUDIO config files in the new device.

Like i sayd i will try to help u with everything i can to find a system dump

but if we cant find one can we make somehow the FILES that are from the OLD BBK that are in the DOC mod to work on kk/lolipop ?

or it is too complicated.

Well i dont know about BBK Vivo x5 Max like i sayd its launched befor a week and is called the world thinest smartphone will need some time untill the System Dump appear but i just think that the Sound quality will be NOT so perfect i just feel this device goal is diferent.. but i found out something interesting.

They called the VIVO Xplay the real Hi Fi Phone so im not sure but i think that the same AUDIO quality even better will be on Xplay 3s

Also i saw some OTAs for the BBK VIVO Xplay that is used by DOC the last OTA is from this year April month few months later when the MOD was released this mean there can have something new in the FILES


Anyway i BET that will be easy with the Xplay 3S and the SOUND will be real BOMB

I download it as well and the build.prop said 4.4.2 anyway this is the LATEST KITKAT OTA officialy from VIVO i think this have to work with Our Kitkat ROm`s maybe we have to edit something because HTC change some of the Audio files in the 4.4.3 and 4.4.4 Builds of our handsets

I think the problem is more cosmetic than anything else if the flashable ZIP of the mod installs the files in the WRONG place and they can`t just work together with the other Sound files... or have diferent names etc.

from my fast investigation i saw that almost all sound files are diferent

audio_effects.conf and the libs in this OTA are diferent than the DOC sound mod diferent in size and etc....

I SAW something when i flash the SOund Explosion the TWO apks that have to be installed at SYstem Priv App AudioEffekt and WfdServices apks are not there i mean they are not installed in the SYSTEM priv-app folder they just missing this may cause not working the mod?!

Sorry for the delay, I'm working on making a test mod right now. Since I dont have a HTC phone atm this might be a little difficult but could you tell me if you have persist.htc.audio.pcm.bitsize and persist.htc.audio.pcm.samplerate in /data/audio on 4.4.4 sense rom

i will chek right now will let u know in the next few minutes because im doing CLEAN FLASH the ROM again without ANY MODS to be able to test and revert back etc! just a second

Yes i have them and 2 extra files under DATA/AUDIO
and i think to UPLOAD them if u need to see if they are the same like in Android 4.4.2 i have also
