Source of the Dictionary used in CM9

The earlier version of CM9 I used had an excellent built in dictionary/prediction engine (I can pull which version that was if its useful). The current one I use (9-20120802-NIGHTLY) has a notably inferior dictionary. For example, the verb "is" in pt_BR is "é", while the word "and" is "e". The verb form (é) wasnt even part of the dictionary (it had to be added manually). This is a strong example related to pt_BR, but I feel that the English dict is also inferior.

Has the source for dictionary used in CM9 changed or am I tripping?!

PS: Luckily, the dict in CM9 is still a lot better than the dict that came with CM7. The best one so far, though, was the stock one.
