it happens to me on the go, which is why im planning to revert back to stock to see how things are. since that both of us are malaysians perhaps it might be a reason why others are not having this problem. my provider is maxis and among my fellow maxis friends im the only one with this problem

Interesting! I am as well a Maxis user but more precisely I use Hotlink. And yes among friends, I am the only person who has this problem.

Lets see if other users face this as well and report here in the thread. Or I might be creating a poll in the general section of the forum to see if someone else from other ROMs might have this problem too.

just tried out the stock ROM for a day and i can safely say im not experiencing the same issue. i also realised that on the CM roms my wifi would be inactive as the phone is in deep sleep. if i were to leave my phone for a few hours and then check it again, i'd have to wait for a minute or two before the wifi starts working again and my notifications start pouring in. this occurs regardless of the wifi network im connected to. so far with stock, no such problems. wifi works right after i unlock it, even after a few hours

Hmm however I can't get back to stock. It is not a good ROM for me. But I hope you are having fun. I might be digging into the system as per to my knowledge to troubleshoot the problem by myself and I hope to find myself a solution to this.
About deep sleep and wifi being cut-off, I actually like it as it will definitely save my battery

build from 16.3. too?

hi guys i'm trying to mod the volume on CM11 for our xperia SP, because i found it a bit lower than the stock rom, but i can't find in snd_soc_msm2x what are voices to edit the speaker volume...
In other phones you have to increase "RX5 Digital Volume" but on our SP this line is missing in the config file...

Someone could help me?

I used many things to improve SP volume.
I think best one is to use Viper4android.

i used viper4android but it consume ram and cpu and it disable the low power audio profile, it slow the phone and you will get more battery drain, i prefer to modify the entries of snc_soc_msm_2x, it's a cleaner and better solution...

But i can't find what are specific entries to edit...

I wonder how did you successfully installed viper4android. I got an error of an invalid busybox, which is extremely stupid since I tried like raping the /system with many busyboxes and nothing works!
Your kind methods, if shared, are greatly appreciated

i've installed viper4android downloading the apk from xda (latest version) a installing it as a normal apk, never had this kind of problems...

Are you sure you have downloaded the version for KitKat?

I am extremely sure that I have downloaded the correct version of v4a. I mean, even so I tried all apks I can find even in the play store but it didn't want to install! Does it require an old busybox version or something?
I have no freakin idea. To keep the thread on-topic would you like to continue this in PM? Or safely ignore this topic?

the playstore version isn't officially supported by the Viper4 team.

I don't know what to say, for me worked perfectly a lot of times, but it slow down cpu and drain batteries, it's not a good solution.

    better check back in

    long time no see guys.
apologies for the lack of response for a couple of months (i've had about 1000 things on my plate - real life sux :p ).
i do actually still exist still and haven't forgotten about you (if you follow me on G+ you probably know what's up)

i've just been really busy with another CyanogenMod bringup on a HTC device and exams (they always happen at the worse times) :)

the cm-12.0 code review has been on review for about a month and a half ready :) so it's pretty much ready to go when i get since time this week (next week) as i've got a bit of holidays time
i'll put up some builds here soon (but good job to the guy doing the LBL builds and thanks for the effort) so then we can get nightlies for cm-12.0 when they start in january :) - it's nearly 35 degrees celcius so the plan is go to the beach during the day and android hacking at night/in the afternoon :)

    news.

sorry guys got a little bad news :(

I didn't get time to sign off on the cm12 front as my laptop screen has died (it should be back to me from repair in a couple of days)
    so no m12

i'll compile a build of stable/cm-11.0 (aka cm11-m12 - unofficial) when I get this going.

on the cm12 front we are waiting for intervigil/cyanogen to finish up the unbreaking of the caf repos :) as arcee found it easiest to just reset the branches and for the CM devs to port our features forward.

i spent a bit of time on the weekend looking at changes for what we need to do :) - Selinux updates is the main thing and likely fix encryption too. a kernel patch will be needed or netd (iirc) will crash repeatedly and die) and a few other changes.
