[SPH-L710] CF-Auto-Root

Man i owe you a beer. I was pulling my hair out trying to re-root my phone after i botched the firmware royally and flashed back to stock os. Last time i did it towlroot worked fine. This time nothing worked. This was pretty darn easy also. Flashed this via odin, downloaded superuser and installed then used rom manager to install clockwork mod now i can once again play around with aftermarket roms. I am keeping this in my rom toolkit in case i botch up my phones firmware again and have to use stock firmware to get things running.

You don't need this. Just odin flash twrp, then flash SuperSU in twrp.

You don't need this. Just odin flash twrp, then flash SuperSU in twrp.

Iam sorry to ask a newbie question but I just dont want to brick my phone.
Question is:
I have SPH L710 phone baseband L710VPUCOJ1, is it safe to root it using that method? I would like to also install twrp.

Just install TWRP with odin. Download latest TWRP for d2spr (the phone you have) and download the root zip of your choice (SuperSU, or magisk, etc, etc).
TWRP on PC, root zip on phone storage.
Use Odin to flash the .tar of TWRP.
Boot to TWRP and flash root zip.

I can see that twrp link is just post above (doesn't say it is for sprint s3 phone) but I have difficulty to find correct SU zip file. Do you mind direct me to this SU zip file please.

D2 means S3, for future reference. So d2spr is the Sprint S3 (sphL710). I'll get an su link for ya.
