Any suggestions?? I havent done this in a while so maybe theres somehing new I dont know. I followed directions.
She doesn't have an external card. It still has stock recovery can I just flash twrp with odin ? And then put the super su on the internal memory boot into recovery then flash?? Do u know where I can get the super su file?Maybe you can put the SuperSu file on your card?! Reboot into Recovery and install.
Maybe this link can help you root the phone:She doesn't have an external card. It still has stock recovery can I just flash twrp with odin ? And then put the super su on the internal memory boot into recovery then flash?? Do u know where I can get the super su file?
Just boot the phone, plug it into a PC, copy the latest SuperSU.zip to the internal "SD", then flash it from recovery. No external SD necessary. She doesn't have an external card. I've just odin'd ND8 4.4 and tried using this to root the phone. It goes all the way through odin, reboots, then shows the big red android, then reboots but when I use root checker it says phone is not rooted. I used odin v.3.07 if it makes a difference.I couldn't get this to work on the 4.4 OTA. Went through process several times and saw screen saying it was erasing cache and resetting recovery. Wondering how to get past that and actually root.
Follow the instructions in my post right before yours.I've just odin'd ND8 4.4 and tried using this to root the phone. Did you Odin the supersu file right after you ran the CF-Auto tar file?I tired on my Sprint SPH-l710 with the OTA 4.4.2 update. I ran oden v3.07 twice and it reported Pass. It went through erasing cache ect. and rebooted itself. All looks good but when I download SuperSU it says there is no SU binary installed. I verified root with root checker too and as you'd expect it says no root. I downloaded the supersu.zip to try and intall that from recovery but since it leave the stock recovery there is no option for that to happen.
Put the SU file on the SD card of your phone. Boot into Recovery and install the SU zip file selecting from the SD card. I would do a Dalvik/Data Caché wipe before rebooting the phone. Once done, go to your SuperSu in your Apps and run it again. This time it should go through. Good luck! No, How would I do that? The SU file I downloaded is a zip
I'm thinking that I would be able to do that if I had something other than the stock recovery. The only options I have are to install update from various locations or clear cache and factory reset and reboot. If I select update from external storage and select the zip file it fails while verifying the update.Put the SU file on the SD card of your phone. You need to install one which are not supported on this thread. I personally like the PhilZ and here's the latest link:I'm thinking that I would be able to do that if I had something other than the stock recovery.
