It hast to do with the way marshmallow handles permissions. You will find many apps requesting permissions at various times. Maybe play music needs permission to access sd card. Also sd card is not named sdcard1 anymore in Android 6.0.1. It's 6DDA1 or something like that.
as far as i can tell all im dealing with is android 5.1. im pretty sure this octos i finally got on here is 5.1 also. lets see if its going to boot now because it insisted it was loading onto a d2spr. now figure that one out because i cant. odin would not work at all. jeez.
Ok, did you read the octos thread? It is marshmallow. And it clearly says that you need their triband twrp to flash their rom. So that is likely why you're having trouble. Read the thread.

i used all triband from twrp to the os.it says its activating cell service. im praying. believe me. i flashed twrp refresh through recovery, then loaded the rest.i think its going to work. there is bars and a 3g up there on the status bar. i think were in business.as high as you are on this rom it makes me excited. i can wait to get into setup. ill let you know. the apps optimized fine i think its ok.

You said it odin isn't working, what isn't working about odin? What were you trying to do with it? And lastly, do you have the Samsung USB drivers Installed? If you have the drivers, and are flashing the correct files, odin works every time.

i did but i flashed 5.1. i am downloading 6.0 right now. i get up at 2 am everyday to get two grandkids 70 miles away to school. i can be an idiot sometimes. how do i test for lte? i thought this rom had a lot more controls in setup. i guess i was thinking liquid. man, i liked that rom. the pie controls and that circle app on the side\. i really liked that stuff. someone needs to kick them in the butt! i have a friend that would jump right in and start helping them. hes very good. wish i could program.
hey whats with google on the splash screen? do you know of another better one. or more than one. i get enough google everyday.
All of the extra settings are in "tentacles". Look in your apps for that. All octos settings are in there.
so what do i do with this update when its been stuck on this cute screen for over an hour? every once in awhile it gives a little vibration but nothing else. team octos said it might take awhile, however, i think something is wrong.

no, i just updated and took it default all the way through. it said it would possibly take a couple minutes to boot but not an hour im sure. updated the system app. i haven't done 6.0 gapps yet.

Naahhh, I don't get angry. I'm having fun. Bluetooth should work. For that, try posting in the octos thread. You looking for system app or data app? You need a root file explorer. Then look in system/app and system/priv-app.
ah, i have a very good file explorer. i just thought you might know off hand what changed with the file system. the system immediately kicked the 64gb card out. with stock playmusic didn't work but storage was great. im not worried too much about that but my card is already nearly full. i have sound, i dont have bluetooth. i went mm all the way. i've had a great time working with you. however i do understand that im a pain in the ass.don't kid yourself. i frustrated hilla a long time ago.anyway, that error was,, what, oh ya, a difference in signatures between the firmware and the app. i've heard of that before but i dint know where i came acrossit though.samsung smart switch wot work at all but samsung assumes i have a s7.
there is an app by fp solutions called what, fingerprint app lock, this is my friend. check that out. maybe you will see something you like and we could get him something to do. hes good. ya, i too, think that triband was making me look very bad. i know alot but its more fun doing it together.
