could this also work if i dont have nand but the a custom rom like elegancia
These splashscreens will work whether you are running WinMo, NAND Android or NAND WP7. Its the first screen that shows and will work on any OS.

As long as you can enter bootloader screen you can flash it.

2nd stationary splash screen after Magldr loaded

Well if you want something more eligant then you should check out cLK. If you do not know what cLK is click on my guide I have in my sig, I give details on cLK how to flash it and how to flash CWM once you have cLK flashed.

MAGLDR is made to run more than one different OS on the HD2 therfor I do not think we will ever see a new release that does not show MAGLDR booting up Android or Windows Phone 7. This is the text you say you see that I am talking about here.

With cLK it is a custom booloader that works just with Android and makes the HD2 pretty much just like a native Android device. I use cLK as my Android bootloader and when I boot up my HD2 this is what I see.

1. The first splash screen of the joker holding a card that I got from this thread.

2. The black screen with just tje stationary Android figure in white outline.

3. The same Android figure but in the bootanimation where it sulidafies from particules and the goes back to particules.

4. My Android lock screen after it has finished booting Android.

I would like to know how to change the splash screen in your boot sequence step no.2. I had the same boot animation as yours. After I change my boot animation, I still get the stationary
Android robot outline before the boot animation. Any idea how to remove that or change it?

You have to change the initrd.gz file, but you can only extract it using linux. Once you extract the file you replace the splash screen, then you rebuild the file and you're good to go.

Hi, I have a question, I believe you can help. I am running a nand android rom.
I am trying to flash a splash screen using CustomRUU, i follow the steps until the 4 coloured screen writing USB at the bottom and when i run customRUU I receive an error 260 message that it cannot establish connection. I tried all my USB ports and did a few reboots at pc and phone as well. Still the same message.
Any ideas?

Hello all , as you can see from my signature I am on Dorimanx CLK Nandroid
and I have just one question to ask.
When I boot I have 4 boot screens, 1st one is the custom splash screen I
flash, the 2nd is the Pink stationary "Stick Together" T-Mobile, 3rd is the
non animated ROM splash and 4th is the Rom's animated boot screen.
What I want to know is how do I change the 2nd Pink stationary "Stick Together" T-Mobile boot screen.
I have tried flashing different custom boot screens but the Pink stationary "Stick Together" T-Mobile boot screen is still there
Thanks for you help :)

I have included pics of my boot screens in order as they appear (from left to right)

Edit : PLZ disregard my question as I can see it was already asked, I have to edit the initrd.gz file

Now that NAND ANDROID is a reality for the HD2 I have seen users asking for Android Splash Screens so I thought I would make some and pass them on. I am also supplying the LEO Stock Splash Screen if you want to go back.

    Simply follow the instructions:

    1. Download the desired Splash Screen and extract the contents to a new folder on your pc.
    2. Shut down your phone (doesnt matter if you have already flashed a NAND Android Rom)
    3. Enter Bootloader Mode by Holding the 'Volume Down' button while briefly pressing the 'Power' button. Keep holding the 'Volume Down' button until the tri colour screen appears.
    4. Plug in your usb cable so that it says 'usb' at the bottom of the screen
    5. Run the CustomRuu.exe file and follow the instructions
    6. When flashing is complete the phone will reboot

Windows Phone SplashScreens for people who have flashed WP7 can be found in Post2 *HERE*

*If you want to make your own Splash Screen then read Post3 *HERE* for instructions and download the attached file*

NOTE: If members want to post their own custom Splash Screens can they also please attach the .nbh file (zip it up with the customruu) so they can be used by other members who like them :)

How to Make your Own Splash Screen For the HTC HD2

[UPDATED 12TH JAN 2011] ADDED WINDOWS BATCH FILE TO AUTOMATE PROCESS

    1. Download the attached file and extract the contents to your pc
    2. Create your image 480x800 and save as 24bit bmp
    3. Copy your bmp to the same folder as MakeNBH.bat
    4. Run MakeNBH.bat
    5. Follow the onscreen prompts to create your nbh file
    6. Flash the nbh file that is created using customruu via bootloader or activesync (winmo only) and job done

You only flash the boot image, i mean the one that has the number of radio and rom at the bottom,
and nothing else, radio and rom remain unchanged.

**I included the archive NBIMG it contains the nbimg utility as well as the images above & the rom flasher all in one folder. To open a command prompt in a directory simply hold shift & right click in it & select 'open command promp here'. Makes it alot easier if everything is in one folder. Enjoy !
