Play Store:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.vndnguyen.shortcutmaster.lite

Step 1 - Download Shortcut Master Lite from the Play Store.
Step 2 - Open Shortcut Master Lite and select the Menu (three vertical dots in the upper right).
Step 3 - Select App Explorer, and then All Apps
Step 4 – Navigate (scroll down) to com.test.LTEfunctionality and select.
Step 5 – Select the first item labled "LTEFunctionalityTest" and select launch.
Step 6 – Scroll down to LTE APN Setting and select.
Step 10 –Select APN2 LTE internet (Sprint) or your carrier internet APN.
Step 11 - Scroll down to APN type and select.
Step 12 - Add "DUN" to the setting (it should read "default, mms,DUN") without quotations.
Step 13 - Select Menu and save your settings
Congratulations, your device now has Native Hotspot without having to toggle data!

You only do this one time and it works continually, making it not that much effort..uninstall shortcut master if you choose...hotspot still works
Thank you, I'll give that a try.

Do you a work around for ad away? Can't remember if that needs root or not. You download it from their website and it downloads latest host block.

Sprint calling plus update for SM-N950U1

Has anyone received or know when Sprint will release the latest update that includes calling plus and visual voicemail for the unlocked note8? I thought the unlocked model would get updates sooner than branded models.

Sprint calling plus update for SM-N950U1 - Received

I just received update N950U1UEU2BQK1 on Sprint and I still cannot locate calling plus or visual voicemail. Does anyone know where I can get these for my unlocked note 8?

If your account and SIM did not activate it....use shortcut master lite and search for com.test.LTEfunctionality and select launch...then select VoLTE Test UI and turn the first two items on. You should also have VoLTE turned on in IMS settings in shortcut master lite...but Sprint is suppose to be enable features if you have imei added to their whitelist and reprovisioned

Didn't work for me...

Thank you for getting back to me BlueFox. I downloaded shortcut master light and followed the steps, but am still unable to use the internet on my note 8 while I'm on a call. You mentioned IMS settings but didn't specify where to find them. I did a search in shortcut master and several IMS settings showed up. Did I miss somthing?

enhancedLTE (not in IMS)
com.samsung.advp.imssettings.ImsSettingsLauncherActivity - launch it
IMS Service Switch - launch it
Enable VoLTE, and other functions you may want...note that RCS functions may break call and messaging...just remember what you play with and reverse it if you break something.

If I upgrade to:

N950USQU3CRC2 / N950UOYN3CRC2 / N950USQU3CRC2 Size 1329.19 MB Samsung Experience 9.0 Upgrade with Android Oreo

Will this break this trick or will I still be able to do it?

A few have found that adhell is working...you can search the threads to find it
I can't find it, can you post a link? Is this the best one still or is there a better one?

I don't have a link, just have to search for it....I only use the ones in the browser, ad block fast and crystal...but adclear from play store seems fine. Too

Some have noticed that upgrading blocks access to apn settings...others have not...so it is hit or miss

Do you think I should upgrade the firmware?

Also what is your favorite ad block method?

Yeah...several have been noticing the ims settings....

I haven't updated so I can't find anything....but I believe there was a way to edit ims settings through service menu....I just don't recall how....
