I just got my G3 today after retiring my LG Optimus G(was run over by a car last friday - not me, just the phone ;-P). Still currently customizing it and setting it up but was planning on starting work on some bootanimations for sprint this weekend. No concrete ETA but they are coming.
Man that sucks sorry to here that and about those boot animations can't wait to see what you out just make sure you post them on this thread lol and other ones if anyone else asks.
It took some messing around(the G3 is similar and yet very different from the optimus g) but I did get one boot animation working for my phone with sound. I will post it later today/tomorrow. It's my personal one so it may not have a wide fan base but I will post it anyway and then begin doing some more for the masses.

Doctor Who Bootanimation for the Sprint LG G3!

This is a disclaimer: While this has been tested I am not responsible for ANY damage done to your device. This is my personal bootanimation for the Sprint LG G3 and I thought I would share it with any other Doctor Who fans out there. The original video is not my work, I simply did the leg work to turn it into a bootanimation. Doctor Who and the Tardis are registered trademarks of the BBC.
THIS IS NOT A FLASHABLE ZIP!(Obviously, since our bootloader is still locked). You have to manually put it into your system/media folder and change permissions(-rw-r--r-- aka 644). Also, you will want to delete your old boot animation(make a backup!). The G3 has two bootanimations on our phone so you will want to replace both bootanimation.zip and bootanimation_sprint.zip(Just rename this file and have two copies in system/media). Then manually put both PowerOn.ogg and PowerOn_Sprint.ogg into system/media/audio/ui for working sound! You ALSO need to either replace the files in carrier/cust/poweron or just delete that folder altogether(That's what I did).
Again, make sure you have backups of your original files saved to your computer. For me if something didnt work I would get a black screen but it would still boot. Other phones can soft brick but it looks like the G3 isn't one of em - still, better safe than sorry! I never ask for donations but if you like/use it, you could always hit that thank button!

Nice not a big Dr Who fan any chance you could make a walking dead boot animation with the title then transitioning into all the characters* one by one and then at the end the sound says we're all infected with Ricks voice? I've been doing the same thing. Wish I could take credit for the original video! It just looks so good on this screen and I've rebooted too many times because I just love watching it.....thanks man and glad to be here!

When you say transitioning into all of the carriers, do you mean doing one bootani for each carrier? Sprint, Verizon, Tmo, etc? Once I get the base one down it would be easy to adjust per carrier.

No sorry I ment to say characters of the walking dead but I have Sprint you should make one for the others after you come up with an original
Ok that's what I thought you meant but wasn't sure. During the work week my time is heavily taxed but I'll work on that one first.
The Dr Who animation was a video I found but it has set the bar pretty high for anything that comes after. If you come up with any ideas @engine95, let me know and I'll see what I can do.
The new mad max trailer on YouTube is 1440p. That could be a pretty decent one with the right editing.
Ok I should finally have some time today to work on this. A few questions because I'm not a fan of the show. Are there different title sequences for different seasons? Same with characters? I'm guessing some of them had to die, lol. If the answer to these are yes, then let me know what season's opening you want and a list of the characters to include. Excuse my ignorance but I was born and raised in Pittsburgh so I'm sick of zombies - that's what can happen when you live in the same town as George Romero.

Ok as of right now I have 3 different ones I'm working on. So far I do have JUST the opening credits as a bootanimation if you want that until the other ones get done. The other ones are obviously gonna be more work and I got caught up with a few other projects today.
