Hi guys, I had a device from sprint bought it from one of my friend. I think it's a locked device after I checked, but it won't be a blacklist phone. Now my question is any way to unlock this device if sprint won't unlock it for me. Becuase of my friend not under sprint any more. Please help....
Only way Sprint will not unlock it is if it was a warranty/insurance claim that wasn't returned, it was reported lost and/or stolen, or financed (and hasn't been paid off). If none of those apply either you or your friend contact Sprint and get it unlocked..
Sprint's requirements for SIM/Network unlock are:
*The device is SIM Unlock capable
*The device must be or have been active on the Sprint network for a minimum of 50 days
*Any associated Service Agreement (or any Minimum Service Term, where applicable), Installment Billing Agreement, or Lease Agreement has been fulfilled including, but not limited to, payment in full of any applicable: 1) early termination fees, 2) accelerated installment or lease payments, and/or 3) end-of-lease purchase options.
*Because leased devices are not owned by the user, the end of lease purchase option must be exercised and paid in full before the SIM unlock is completed.
*The associated account is in good standing
*The device has not been reported as lost or stolen, associated with fraudulent activity, or otherwise flagged as ineligible to be unlocked
Other question, what if I just flash to U1 firmware and change code for CSC without SIM UNLOCK. Will it work?
You can flash U1 firmware to the phone, this has been answered in the forum. However it will still be network/SIM locked to Sprint so changing the CSC probly will not work very well.
