Just wanted to pop in here and say that I finally just bit the bullet and ordered my Galaxy SIII on T-Mobile. I'm coming from a GSM Galaxy Nexus rooted with CM10. While I absolutely love my Nexus I was ready for a change and from everything I've read, the SIII is pretty future proof hardware wise. Plus it looks like there are already plenty of devs over on this forum getting to work on ROMs for the SIII. Hell, the SIII got a CM10 alpha build before the GSM Nexus did which was a big eye opener for me.

Anyway, just wanted to share my excitement. I love new shiny s***!

I like iPhones as much as I like my Android phones.

For different reasons of course.

thanks in advance:highfive:
Coming from the E4GT I see :) Phatomhacker's rom is great and it looks like Freeza's will be too. You can always try CM9/CM10 but the touchwiz experience is better at the moment.

I would be carefull with flashing custom roms. There apparently are issues that can cause your IMEI to get corrupted and you will lose data and telephony connection. This happened to me. There is a thread on here where some Unix/linux geniuses are trying to figure it out. I would wait to see if there is a solution first.

So what if they can't fix it? Are you going to call your service provider and ask them to fix it? I assume this completely voids any kind of warranty. Is it not possible to simply reflash to stock?

There was a way to backup IMEI posted in the VZW GS3 forums, here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1791291

Everyone should do this for safety

Been on Phantomhacker's rom since day 1. Smooth, and great battery life. CM10 would be great but most likely everybody is waiting for the RC and not jump on the nightlies :)
