If you're worried about getting ripped off as you stated, just don't by the phone. It's a choice, if you want the phone you'll pay the higher premium. Just that simple.
Wow I sound like I work for Sprint, which I don't. Bottom line is if you want the phone you'll pay the price.

I have never seen so many people worked up over $50 before. You'd think it was a bank breaker the way some of you guys are whining and threatening to switch to T-Mobile, which actually turns out to be full retail price if you know math.

I understand you want it to be the same across carriers, I get it. That would be ideal, but seriously guys, it's $50, not $100. Sprint won't care how many people sign this petition.

I would much rather have the $50 in my pocket than Sprint's. I have no problems paying $50 more for the phone, but if I'm going to do that I want something in return, more storage, different colors, free case, being triband, something. Instead you get nothing in return for that extra money you are spending.

The other side of it though is where does it stop? IF the phone sells well for sprint at $349, who's to say Verizon and AT&T don't look at that and decide to charge the same for their version, if not this time maybe next time, and then 2 to 3 years down the road someone will experiment with $399, and then continue on, while we just sat idly by like Zombies instead of doing something about it.

Yes I know this petition has a very very low chance of doing anything, but just maybe I can put the idea in the back of people's heads and maybe it will find the right person with the right connections and or resources to actually make a change.

Sprints plan is 80/month
And 349 up front for phone
T-Mobile is 60 + 21/month for the phone
And 199 up front for phone.


That's 2269 over 2 years with contract and 3g speeds on Sprint

And 2143 over 2 years with T-Mobile with no contract and 4g lte



Now who can't do math




And the jump upgrade, you trade on your old phone and in exchange they wipe out what you owe on it and you start fresh.

Because I want paying full price for a phone to keep unlimited data on Verizon. The main place I use my phone is work and I get full signal there, on the exterior of the building I get 4g that allows me to watch HD YouTube videos which to me is fast enough. Even on 3g I can watch HQ videos with little buffering. When I had Verizon I was in the same situation but couldn't try out the HD as I had the original razr maxx.
I would have paid Verizon's $30 higher per month prices but not for limited data.

So you jump in to show off your"math" skills and automatically assume Sprint sucks everywhere while other carriers are better options for everyone? Then finish it off by being an assbag about not signing? Awesome keyboard Rambo style.

For the record, At&T/T-mobile have far worse coverage here than Sprint, Verizon is like the dictator of wireless. Sprint is a better option (although I'd love it if t-mobile had ANY coverage here) So while we appreciate your uber brilliant post, it said a lot without saying anything. Thanks anyway tho!:good:

-My house is a dead zone for AT&T and T-Mobile.

-99% of the data I use is transferred via WiFi, so for the most part, who has the highest speeds is pretty much irrelevant (although so is data capping for that mater).

-I see people complaining about Sprint customer service all the time, but I've been a customer for 10 years and haven't had a single issue.

Basically the ONLY time I ever had any interest in swapping carriers was the early days of Android when T-Mobile was getting all the cool phones, and switching wouldn't have done any good because of the aforementioned deadzone. There's more to choosing a wireless carrier than speeds and prices, so don't assume that just because they aren't the ideal carrier for YOU, they aren't the ideal carrier for someone else.

Your $60 a month includes 2.5Gb of data, sprints is unlimited, so if you want to do a actual comparison tack $10 per month on there, which makes T-Mobile more expensive than sprint. Honestly it wouldn't matter for me though, I live in Michigan, unless you live in a downtown area, your only getting 2g anyways which is pathetic.

It's unlimited. It's 2.5 gb of 4g then slows down to sprints speeds. Where Sprint is unlimited 3g. Moat places don't even.have 4g and where they do have 4g it runs at.terrible speeds cause the underdeveloped network is so bogged dowm and overloaded

If I was really comparing apples to apples I would use T-Mobiles $50 plan which is unlimited but with 500Mb of 4g before it slows down to sprints speeds

No, it slows down to dial up speeds, you are maxed out at 60Kb/s. Sprint has about twice as much 4G as Tmobile in the whole state and most of the state is still 2G, Sprints network is slow and underdeveloped compared to Verizon and AT&T, but compared to Tmobile? No.

This petition is useless. The Sprint GN3 is already in stock at Sprint stores getting ready for launch this Friday. The device is single band LTE and it is not going to change. If you buy Sprint GN3, just know that going in and be happy with it and move on.

Pretty sure this petition has nothing to do with the tri band of the phone. Its about the fact everyone else is 299 vs Sprint 349, maybe read a little before typing.

The funny thing is that is what people were telling me is one of the reasons sprint's version is more expensive.

I would like to believe that this would make a difference but the reality is it probably won't. If they decided next week to lower the price then what do you do for all the folks that already purchased at the higher price. Reality is that devices are getting faster and are doing more and the prices will continue to go up regardless.I wouldn't even pay 299 to be honest with you because I just don't see the value when the Note 2 still does everything I need and does it well. I still think the price is to high though for a two year contract.
