Signed!

I would like to believe that this would make a difference but the reality is it probably won't. If they decided next week to lower the price then what do you do for all the folks that already purchased at the higher price. Reality is that devices are getting faster and are doing more and the prices will continue to go up regardless.I wouldn't even pay 299 to be honest with you because I just don't see the value when the Note 2 still does everything I need and does it well. I still think the price is to high though for a two year contract.
Well, here is what one of the sprint Representatives said about the price of the Note 3. " Even at a $50 higher promotional price you still financially come out on top with Sprint."

To me that means that it is going to start put $50 higher to rip off the early adopters who will inevitably do their R&D and find the issues with it.

That's 199 up front and $21 a month for 2 years! 21x24 is $504 plus the $199.99 up front and that's $703.99 over the two years.

Cool Petition though, I hope it gets you somewhere! **Signed**
$199? LOL Thats bull**** haha. EVERYTHING on T-Mobile costs full retail over the life of your contract.

I'm not upgrading until this goes down to at least $249, if not lower. $349 is ridiculous. maybe this is Sprint's way of heading toward what T-mobile does with charging customers full retail? Either way full retail is nowhere close to what these things are worth. People who pay it are crazy.

Also Radio Shack guarantees to be $50 lower than anyone else so there is where you should be able to get it for $299. (Hopefully)

Signed! Regardless of network issues. The higher price should be explained or lowered. Heck even Big Red has dual band under its hood

I don't understand why you would spend any money on a phone for Sprint. 199, 299, 349, 703... whichever price they give you is too much to have terrible awfully slow internet on such an amazing device. Sprint won't have 4g deployed and up to T-Mobile, Verizon, att speeds until 2015. Softbank. Recently put out a statement About the timeframe.

Sprints plan is 80/month
And 349 up front for phone
T-Mobile is 60 + 21/month for the phone
And 199 up front for phone.

That's 2269 over 2 years with contract and 3g speeds on Sprint

And 2143 over 2 years with T-Mobile with no contract and 4g lte

Now who can't do math
Sprint happens to be the fastest carrier in my area, actually! That and unlimited data, anyone in my area would be an idiot not to go with Sprint!
I'm about 30-40 minutes west of Atlanta, Georgia.

Signed it. Competition keeps prices low. They make up their profits on data plans. Unfortunately no 4G LTE in my state and I'm paying for it. How can I get my money back?

Good luck; I'm currently fighting for that too. Had Sprint for about two weeks, it was the worst. Data speeds were slower than dial up internet, texts barely would send, call quality was garbage, and I had repeated problems with a phone on my plan and they refused to fix or replace it. I had no choice but to switch to another carrier, & refuse to pay them for a service that was unusable.....

This is actually why a thread like this is pointless: Competition keeps prices low, not petitions. Someone at sprint came to the conclusion they could make money selling it at that price (probably so they could tack on a few extra bucks a month to their new yearly upgrade plan); its not like they pulled a random number out of a hat and are completely unaware of their competitor's price.

But if you really think a petition will work, why stop at $299? Why not just demand it be free, think of all the sigs you'd get then!

It is a ****y move from sprint pricing wise... First with the GS4 and now with this one. Granted It didn't stop me from getting the phone lol but it would have been nice to have that extra $50 for a case.

I would much rather have the $50 in my pocket than Sprint's. I have no problems paying $50 more for the phone, but if I'm going to do that I want something in return, more storage, different colors, free case, being triband, something. Instead you get nothing in return for that extra money you are spending.

The other side of it though is where does it stop? IF the phone sells well for sprint at $349, who's to say Verizon and AT&T don't look at that and decide to charge the same for their version, if not this time maybe next time, and then 2 to 3 years down the road someone will experiment with $399, and then continue on, while we just sat idly by like Zombies instead of doing something about it.

Yes I know this petition has a very very low chance of doing anything, but just maybe I can put the idea in the back of people's heads and maybe it will find the right person with the right connections and or resources to actually make a change.
This whole thread is crazy!! Sprint offers unlimited voice & data for $80 monthly. Both Verizon & ATT start at over $100 monthly and thats for a capped data plan.

By comparison Sprint is cheap, even with the $50 extra for the phone factored in.

Sure ATT and Verizon have superior national data maps but I can live with Sprints and the abundance of open wifi makes the carrier data speed irrelevant anyway.

Signed, although I do not have this phone and do not plan on getting it.

And yes, $50 does make a difference to me, though it may not to some of you.

Hello,

I didn't see anything in the rules section against this, but if it is against the rules I apologize in advance.

Since every other carrier is charging $299.99 for the Note 3 and Sprint it charging $349.99 I was hoping that we could petition Sprint to lower the price down to everyone elses level. I'm hoping that if I get enough people behind this a lot of people can save some money.

https://www.change.org/petitions/sprint-lower-the-2-year-contract-price-of-the-samsung-galaxy-note-3-to-299-99-like-other-carriers#

Thank you for looking and sorry if you disagree with me, I'm just a person trying to try not to get ripped off. If anyone on here has a reason for me as to why they are charging more for it than other carriers, please post it, but please post facts and have proof to back it up. Everyone gave me reasons on Sprints facebook page but no one wants to post any facts to back it up.
you can order on sprint.com for 249 if your adding a new line or new account.

*Signed* I am with sprint and never really buy phones, I usually trade on craigslist lol its cheaper then early upgrades and free and i can do it as much as i want :D Like I traded my Icrap 5 for a brand new S4 in box and everything straight trade :highfive: but besides that......demetrios3 have you used sprint ??? If you do you will know why we are complaining. Yea granted sprint is cheaper but the service is garbage and just worthless sometimes. I mean I live in a "Official LTE market" and I am on 3g or roaming most of the time or no service at all and when i do get LTE its just as slow lol.. I complain every month and get about 15-30 bucks off every month for having bad data and service. Yea at&t and verizon are more expensive but look at the service you get. Hell verizon alone has almost 550-600 markets with LTE  So think about why we are complaining and even if we had the best service its still not right or fair to charge us more when other carriers are doing it cheaper.

Sprint has a $100 port in credit for new subscribers, and also offer buybacks to trade in your old phone.
The 1up program is launching soon for the rest of retail markets

Except this is what you pay for:

http://youtu.be/cc52m5wFUtI

OG Evo, never got WIMAX
Epic Touch, Still didn't get WIMAX
Galaxy S3 and Note 2, rarely used LTE since it only came up when I went to LA, and even that is just recently.

I still got the Note 3 and am staying with Sprint but the video has a point. Unlimited crap is still unlimited crap.

I'm just waiting for that crap to eventually turn into gold since Im on a SERO plan

I've been a Sprint customer for about 10 years. Sure I fight with Customer Service sometimes but I'm certain I'd have occasional fights with (insert name of Carrier) just as often.
