Download an app called battery indicator and open it up. It will put a battery in the status bar but also will let you view temperature. Use it as it has the smallest memory footprint of most all apps of the sort. Of your phone is getting over 110 that's an issue for me. My Maxx w ics has never climbed over 108 in hot middle Georgia.

Does the slide the finger across the top of the pull down menu still adjust the brightness when it's set to manual?

Was this supposed to be a built in feature? I've only seen this on custom roms with Leedroid tweak. It would be awesome if it were built in. I use this a lot on my Evo 3d with Mik ICS rom.

Been playing with this phone all day. And its a way better phone than the gnex i had. Ive read somewhere that it isnt worth the upgrade. Lmao. Thats a joke. The screen is 10x better. This is how a hd screen is supposed to look. Way smoother too. The design of the phone is amazing too. Looks way better in person than in pics. Battery life is better too. Did i mention the screen tho? The colors are amazing. It doesnt look yellowish. Blueish or have a pink tint like ive read somewhere on here. The camera is nice too. Cant complain. No complaints at all. The phone doesnt even get as hot as the gnex did when im using it. All im waiting for is for some custom roms. Aokp/cm9. I feel like an idiot for doubting the s3. Gs3>>>

107 inside on wifi or outside in the heat on lte?
I have been on wifi and am sitting in my 90 degree carport in the shade. 107 seems high if you were in the house and just browsing BUT its still not over 110...just keep an eye on it an if you can try to keep us updated on this

Almost 5200 quadrant which kind of upsets me but sammys could usually oc a bit higher than HTC which I got almost 5300 outta the box, guess we'll see what the devs bring... Display seems good, can't beat LCD 2 though, over all pretty damn close to evo, lol, no likee twhiz... cam not quite as good but I'm sure tons can be done by devs... Can't quote signal strength yet as I'm tethered to og evo... keep feedback coming;-)

I do love the hidden buttons, especially that they don't use display resources... Really hate the home button though=-O

like i said, my signal strength is real good, wifi not as good as my Evo 3D...

GPS locked on in about 2 seconds inside my office building... everything super fast and non-laggy so far... only slowly starting to reinstall all the apps i need from app store...

i never used touchwiz so im getting used to that as i go, some things quirky...

i'll update if i find any issues...

---------- Post added at 02:53 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:49 PM ----------

my 3G speeds,

2.09 Mbps down, .9 Mbps up

i'm in flushing, queens, NY... seems a little better than my 3D did...

Whats the DBM signal strength when you have full bars.

I don't have the device yet but I read somewhere that if you disable the double tap to launch s voice, the home button becomes more responsive. Apparently, when u hit it once it waits a split second to see if you're gonna hit it again to launch s voice.

This was a stock feature on the gs2. I just bought my wife one off craigslist and haven't rooted or anything yet and it works fine. Just have to turn off auto brightness. Someone has to know if this is working....anyone?
