After some reading, what I gather is that you can't downgrade because of knox. Basically, I can't go from OH1 to NF4, is this correct? So I need the OH1 tar file for odin, been searching for it but can't find it. Anyone know where or how I can get it?

You can go back. You just can't go back to pre Knox (before KitKat) so oh1 or nf4 are both fine.

Thank you for the answer. Unfortunately, I already tried, but it didn't work. Is okay if I PM you later? I got more questions and don't want to spam this thread.

Hey guys, I know a lot of us has been stuck with paper weights since we messed up flashing our phones thinking the L710 and L710t were the same... sooo, if you lost your imei and baseband unkown and no network and no audio and all these issues and just want to go back to stock.. you've come to the right place.

Remember this is for the sprint sph l710T .... note the T for triband lol

Step 1. Download Odin (search google)
Step 2. .tar file from here (https://mega.co.nz/#!cBBDEBpJ!t5IAcCaMg2w7GDI0zhhmZw0e7jh0Uv0v4gJpsH8gb6o)
put this in to odin in the pda section (note: if the file gives an md5 mismatch of some sort, remove (.md5) from the extension to leave the .tar)
step 3. put your phone in download mode... flash that shiiiiii, be patient and profit!

youre very welcome

BIIIGGGGG THANKS TO THESE GUYS FROM ANDROID FORUMS

Kdude63 for the link
the_dumbest_noob for actually pulling the .tar for kies to save our behinds! ;););)
hey, this is the one that will give control back to the phone and off the sdcard?

I don't know. I haven't done that, scared it would mess something up. When I first rooted, supersu gave me the option to disable it.

i have both tribands and regular sph-l710's and that's one of the first things i do. i don't know about your phones so don't take my word as law but, my phone runs great. i always let samsung and google do all their updates when i start a new phone but i do it on every s3 i've dealt with and there has been many.
i just tried it because on the sph-l710's its so easy to use odin and reflash the stock .tar file these people give you. i done it many times.
i don't know your phone at all. don't take what i say and go do it without making sure you have the files and the know how to put it back together. i learned a heck of a lot by doing just that and talking to XDA.

I also let my phones do updates first before I really start tweaking. I'm usually pretty good with this stuff, but I probably misunderstood what I read about Knox and downgrading from a different thread. I will admit I was a little impatient when it came to this phone, and didn't prepare for the situation I'm in. Now that I've been informed that oh1 to nf4 is possible, I can start looking for whatever else is causing the problem. Thanks for your help and advice! I'm going to send a PM, I really don't want to spam this thread with my issue anymore.

The Knox you guys are removing/disabling is just the Knox app. Knox is still in the system and bootloader. Not removable. Pretty sure the triband doesn't even have pre Knox firmware so you can flash any of the triband tars in Odin.
@jg1210 what failure are you getting with Odin? Just Odin didn't work doesn't really help.

I could never flash anything except twrp on my tribands. With or without knox I got a error, "complete write failure of all threads". It happened on every triband I tried however, all my phones were refurbs. I still cant even flash philz. Just twrp.once i got twrp in the system i could flash any zip i wanted. they didnt all work but the system worked with twrp.

@madbat99 odin would just fail when I tried to flash the nf4 tar. It would show "sw rev check fail fused 2 binary 1". Thanks to pgellen for taking the time out to help, which ended up in me solving the issue. Basically, odin wasn't the problem. Odin flashes everything else just fine, like the recoveries. I was able to locate the tar files for of2 and oh1, which both flashed just fine with odin. So my guess is, that the nf4 tar file just doesn't flash with odin. Kinda sad, since I really wanted to try the Wicked s5 rom. Oh well, as long as I got a working phone with root, and the possibility to flash LP or MM roms, is fine with me. Thank you both @madbat99 and @pgellen for all the help!

Sw rev check failed fused 2 binary 1 is when you try to downgrade and odin wont let you!

Yea that's what I figured. I wonder why though. Both nf4 and oh1 are KitKat, right? Oh well, I'm fine being on oh1. I'm just glad I found that oh1 tar file. For a second there, I thought I had a brand new paperweight. (Just bought this phone as a temporary backup, when I thought my LG G2 broke lol).

Can anyone confirm that activate device is in the tar when loaded I'm heavily modded just got this phone activated on sprint but need the PRL update in order to get it active thanks in advanced?

Sorry for the slow reply been busy I ended up doing it worked out just fine and am back to my marshmallow AICP. Can't believe that we can't keep active device in the settings with most if not all roms..... If someone could explain that one i would be thankful? But is ok I kept the back up of 4 just in case I run in to a sprint problem again.
