Stable custom ROM for ASUS Z00LD?

I have this old ASUS Z00LD. It's very sluggish and slow and has all the crappy bloatware apps from ASUS that I never use. I want to know what is the most stable (Android version doesn't matter) custom ROM right now for this model? And also the best recovery? Thanks, beforehand.

Hey man, thank you for your reply. Turns out my device is Asus ZenFone 2 Laser ZE550KL. Can you please send me the links to download the recovery and the ROM that you mentioned? I don't want to brick my device by flashing the wrong things.
