Wifi scanning remains troublesome. It always works after reboot or after delayed wifi on/off toggle.

After a while however the connection always starts failing.

The logs clearly state troubles, info warning and errors with wifi scanning, hal...

I hope this helps resolving the issue, thanks and lots of appreciation for all your hard work!



ps. could it have something to do with wifi scanfrequency restrictions introduced in android 9&10?

Apps settings are OK. The problem occurs in some Apps and some sites. I will wait for the March release. Thanks for your help.

Installed March release, but problem still remains. I realized that Apps from Google works flawlessly, but all the others don't. I tried to attach logcat but couldn't do it. Any help is welcome.

" in this video, you have no restrictions when making calls or no problem that the other person can only understand you with great difficulty due to strong echo or poor voice quality?

May I ask you how you solved this problem, which is sure a big problem for many users?

Or but why don't you draw the attention of the people who may have installed a cell phone with an original rom or an old official lineage, and now reset the device (delete everything) in the hope of having a well-functioning current rom on the cell phone?

In my opinion it's common sense that a big change such as installing LOS when coming from stock should result in a full wipe and viceversa, I have mentioned that a full wipe is required.

Also, regarding the call echo I haven't noticed anything, I'm not sure if this is due to my device being new but it's something I haven't observed.

If you flash Update from your installed ROM you can "dirty flashing" over your running system.

If you flash other Custom-ROM it is better to "wipe" and "format data" : this is "clean flashing"

If your Phone running with this ROM from Ivan_Meler and now is Update available (Update is the same ROM newer) then you can "dirty flashing".

I did a clean install of the ROM and the mobile data is not working, does anyone know how to fix it? Otherwise, everything looks normal and so far there has been no random restart.

I want to highlight two strengths:
- Battery: lasts more than a day, great for a cell phone with 4 years of use;
- Call quality: loud and clear.

Did you manage to solve the mobile data? I installed latest ROM yesterday, but mobile data won't work

EDIT: switch APN to only IPv4. Works now!

There's obviously a solution: In the APN's preferences IPv6 must not be registered. Mobile internet only works with IPv4. Eventually this helps here, as well.

Worked here. Mobile data wasn't working. For some reason, the default was IPv4/IPv6. Switched to only IPv4. Working now!

normally it makes no sense at all to use an old version. the new version has improvements and optimizations that the old versions lack.

Already since the January release screenshots are no longer included in the gallery! They are only stored in the file system, but not shown in Google Photos or in the gallery. I thought the bug would be fixed, but it is still there in the April release.

When I read what problems some users have with the OS, I'm still well off. What bothers me the most is that the Wi-Fi is turned off after about 20 minutes of standby and then all data traffic runs via mobile data. So listening to podcasts consumes large amounts of mobile data volume quite unnecessarily. Unfortunately, there is no setting that allows WiFi to remain permanently active in standby. A huge drawback!

GPS and fingerprint have been working for me all the time. But the camera is still a problem. When I save photos or videos to the external SD card, it is not uncommon for the smartphone to simply perform a cold boot and the photos or videos are not saved. Moreover, the file system of the SD card is increasingly destroyed as a result.

Meanwhile, I think that these are all kernel related problems, because if you change the kernel parameters with Kernel Adiutor, some problems become less. Therefore, LOS 18.1 will probably not bring any improvement to these problems. I think that the kernel would have to be fundamentally reworked to eliminate all these problems.

Perhaps I keep it with the orginginal rom for some more time.

@Sebastian323: Yes, it works with the internal SD card. However, the reboot does not happen every time. And it happens much more often with videos than with photos.

That's right. But performance and battery is not everything. Stability and functionality are also very important. So this ROM is not bad but also not excellent. I would say it's ok overall. Depending on what you want to do with it and what is particularly important to you.

I installed the ROM and everything was fine for a couple of weeks until today. When I checked my phone, I pressed the power button and the only thing I could see was the clock. It goes away after a couple of seconds and I can't do anything else. Holding the power button for no matter how long doesn't do anything. I can plug in USB and the device will be detected but I can't access any files, I didn't enable ADB, so I cannot connect to reboot. Any advice? My last hope is that it will turn off at some point so I can charge it a little bit and see whether it will boot up again. Before I updated, I used the Android 9 version of this ROM and never had anything like this happening.

Edit: the background for the clock is completely black, there is really nothing else. It looks like the always on feature with only time and date visible.
