If it doesn't boot, it's not a ROM topic, but an installation issue.
What did you do, and which TWRP you are using?
Have you allowed TWRP to install its System App? If yes, go back & disallow, as this will definitely block LOS from booting
This will be the same issue with other system apps which come without proper permission xml file. TWRP definitely needs to fix this.

Here a detailed Instruction:
========================================================
1. In your ROM, go to Settings -> About device. Tap 7 times on Build number to enable Developer options.

2. Now go to Settings -> Developer options. (above About device)
You need to enable OEM unlock, otherwise you might end up with boot problems or be unable to flash later on.

3. Extract Odin to your computer.

4. Install Samsung Mobile Phone Drivers for Odin to find your device.

5. Download a .tar image of TWRP for herolte.

6. Reboot your device into Download mode. To do this, select reboot from the power menu and hold the [Volume Down] + [Home] buttons while your device reboots.
Once you reach the Download mode warning screen, press [Volume Up] to continue.

7. [Optional] Install latest Bootloader / Modem firmware:
Open Odin and place the Bootloader in the [AP] and Modem in the [CP] slot.
Disable Auto-Reboot Option, then press [Start].

8. Open Odin and place that TWRP tar file in the [AP] slot.
Disable Auto-Reboot Option, then press [Start].

9. Hold [Volume Down] + [Home] + [Power] to get out of Download mode and immediately swap [Volume Down] to [Volume Up] (continuing to hold [Home] + [Power]) when the screen blanks.
If you don't see then TWRP boot splash try again from step 6.

10. At this point, you will reach the screen asking you if you want to allow system modifications.
By swiping right, you will trigger dm-verity, and if you don't follow the next step you will be unable to boot!

11. After allowing modifications, go into Wipe and choose Format Data option
(no need to format differently and then format back again)

12. REBOOT back into TWRP recovery again using the option in the reboot menu

13. Download the latest ROM for your device.
Without exiting TWRP, transfer the ROM zip to your device over MTP* and flash it using [Install] in TWRP.

14. [Optional] Download the latest GAPPS for your device.
Without exiting TWRP, transfer the GAPPS zip to your device over MTP* and flash it using [Install] in TWRP.
Important: Flash Gapps and Mods right after Rom Installation, no reboot in between!

15. Go to [Reboot] -> [System].

12. Wait 2-5 minutes for your device to finish setting itself up.

So if you followed the installation guide I posted, and rejected TWRP to install its App, then I have no further ideas why this ROM isn't booting.
But it's definitely not a ROM issue.

Hi, great rom,thanks!

I use lypertek earbuds all day, sometimes wandering out of Bluetooth range. On previous rom they would autoconnect when i come back in range, but with this build i have to unlock phone and manually reconnect — how do i get them to reconnect automatically?

Thanks!

got in trouble with root
this is the first time i am using LOS, before i had only images wich have root included and so i think i have made somethingh wrong.
with TWRP i install LOS17.1 and before reboot i install also the gapps
After reboot and bootloop to twrp i guess i must wipe dalvik
After that LOS starts but no root.
After that i realized, that something goes wrong so i tried SR5-SuperSU-v2.82.. with twrp but it throws an Error at the "boot image patcher" after -extracting ramdisk there is the "Failure, aborting" message
After that i tried the package addonsu-16.0-arm64-signed.zip also with twrp and also an error comes up.
after the message "Installing su addon..." came "set_metadata: Error on lstat of /system/addon.d/51-addonsu.sh: no such file or directory

so, could someone tell me what i have to do and in the right order to get LOS17.1 rooted
thanx a lot

Boot in TWRP
Install Rom +Gapps+magisk ,magisk Install via APK And reboot .

Magisk = is root.

Current TWRP version

Thanks for your great work! This phone has a very good hardware and you made it alive again! Just a couple of questions before installing LOS on my phone: Do you have any sample pictures taken from the camera? How is the in-call quality of the camera for instance using whatsapp? it would be great if you could share a couple of photos :) and finally does the wireless charging work?

Do you guys have echo problems during SIM calls when the speaker is on? Apparently in update 05.08.2020 it is solved, but I still get a strong echo when the phone is on speaker during SIM calls.

Does anybody have problems with the proximity sensor and the light sensor?
Mine aren't working. Might it be the ROM or some hardware problem?
(i already tried some apps to troubleshoot the sensors, but they are realy unavailable)

Try DevCheck (here https://xdaforums.com/t/app-devcheck-1-19-system-information.3171427/ or in the appstore)
It can perfectly read the Sensors (sorry for german language):

Using it for years to check if anything changes after updating my devices.

Great app. Thank you.
(i still have problems on several sensors). I think the phone is OK, so maybe it's the ROM that has some issues.

Big thanks to everyone who supported project so far it really wouldnt be possible without them, Keeping this device alive is both fun and challanging fixing camera itself took over 30 hours and will greatly help other roms including oneui 2.x ports since they will be able to use lib from this rom
So coffee and donations to help cover build/development server cost are as always welcome, Enjoy new build and new and reborn S7
