haha dont worry about this if you read date on post it happened over 2 years ago. I'm completely fine now but thanls for best wishes 😅

And here we go, February 2022 security update and camera fix are merged in this build
(brief changelog as always)
- Merged February 2022. security update
- Fixed issue where camera would stop working after prolonged use
- Synced with LOS source

Camera fix is same as on 18.1 and 19.0 builds and its been tested thoroughly, It took quite a bit of time to figure it ouyt but its finally here for all 3 android versions i still keep updateing and that were affected with those issues to begin with.

Big thanks to everyone who supported this project and helped cover the build server cost + got me coffee as always.

Hi Guys!

I've installed last build dated 2022.02.14, but after importing messages into Messaging the old messages just pops up as "new messages" alerts without end. I used SMS Backup & Restore v. 10.15.004 to import the backup where it required status as default sms app to perform the task. After finishing I set Messaging back to default sms app, but then as mentioned, I get the alerts without end. It doesn't help just swiping them away, the same messages just keeps coming back as "new message" alert.

Does anyone have any idea as to why this is happening? A solution would be very much appreciated.

A second thing. When doing calls first couple of times people talking with me did not hear any echo of themselves. But after that people talking to me hear an echo both without and with speaker turned on. Maybe it started after me putting on the speaker the first time.

Someone here reports the same issue for LOS 14, 15 and 16. I think the only ones that do not have this particular issue would be non-Lineage based but stock/OneUI like FloydQ. Those ones though have other issues (like fingerprint not working in many applications). You can check the issue list for all available S7 flat ROMs I've created (the list is still in development, but gives some useful info).

Thank you for your followup Kootarsh and additional info. I see that I might have to bite the dust and go back to stock rom. I have tried to find a stock download for the herolte, but have not been able to. In case a stock becomes the unavoidable solution, do you know where I can find it?

Thank you so much for keeping this device alive! I have been trying to install an update since my first flash. First, it would get stuck in a boot loop. I tried factory reset and then flash, it would boot no problem. After restoring data, bootloop. SAme thing over again with restoring data and boot, bootloop. Finally booted fine after restoring complete nandroid backup and then flashing new update twice. Who knows. But now, it freezes when I try unlocking homescreen. Notifications say SD card cannot be found.

Could it be that all my problems are related to adopted storage? How do I update with a system on adopted SD?
(I am only trying to update from LOS 17 from 2020 to LOS 17 from 2022 from the same thread. No upgrade.)

Can anyone help? Internal storage isn't sufficient, I definitely need the SD. I'd also like some security updates though...

My S7 was running years without of any problems with the official LOS 14.1 (Android 7.1.). The only reason to skip it: It was no longer maintained and therefore a 'unsecure' device. I decided to go for the not official LOS 17.1 and since then the echo and other things are present.

The issue list is only about Android 9+, as S7 has official stock ROM Android 8 available, so most custom ROMs with Android 8- just tune/modify official kernel and some system components, this is why the issue list is different in this case.
I believe the above mentioned issues for older LOS may been not of the same cause or were there before official release of stock ROM of related Android version.

Nothing too major this time around but i added support for ota updates for next months security update.

    So here is a progress update, Fingerprint issues have been completely patched, Mobicore and fingerprint implementation has been completely reworked which was a mess, In other news GPS has also been fixed which involved reworking whole RIL stack and im testing builkd with those fixes at the moment there are also a lot smaller fixes in this build i will post in changelog once new build is up in few days hopefully if everything goes alright
