The most beautiful MIUI 8 has finally arrived for Xiaomi devices and so for our HTC one M8. So after MIUI 7, here comes MIUI 8 Global for HTC one M8.

This MIUI 8 Global Developer ROM is based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. This Custom ROM is ported from xiaomi.eu unofficial MIUI 8 patchrom which is fully translated into English and is multilingual. Thus, this MIUI 8 is actually a Global version.

Remember this MIUI 8 ROM is not an official release from MIUI team; this is just a ported ROM from Redmi 3. And MIUI 8 is itself in Beta stage so don’t expect zero bug.

Disclaimer: This ROM has been tested and verified to be stable for daily use but there may be some unknown bugs. I'm not responsible for any damage to your device or your information.

How to install :

Download the latest build of MIUI 8 ROM for HTC one M8
Reboot to TWRP Recovery
Wipe data, system, cache and dalvik cache from advanced wipe menu
Flash MIUI 8 ROM
Flash Gapps
Reboot (first boot may take up to 15 to 20 mins.)
On the setup screen keep english or chinese language otherwise you'll have a FC ! (you can change your language after)
If you have installed Gapp.zip, A gapp related app may FC (just one time in setup screen)

Bugs/Issue :

- XDA labs app doesn't work (I'll try to see what's going on)
- Wake sstrings in stock settings lead to a FC
- Miui video editor isn't working (wil try to fix it)
- If you found more tell me !

Major fixed issue compared to other MIUI8 rom for Htc one M8 :

- Second space and cloned app work
- recent card fixed
- Share button work
- Scroll screenshot work
- More stable and smooth
- And many many little fix there and there (Too much to tell them)

Things to know :

- Miui use a system uptomizer for battery, go in settings>battery>manage apps battery usage
- Rom is rooted, but you can use magisk too (may can have issue with mouinted module especially with mounted module app)
- Android pay and NFC confirmed working
- If you have random reboot check your Kernel Settings ! (use Kernel auditor)
- Xposed is confirmed working, thanks @vladimir.jz for reporting (use solarwarez version)

Went global ! (less chinese stuff+google integration is better)

V7 :

- Stability and performance improvement ! The rom is more smooth and fluid as before
- Security : integrated root + 0s root delay (no need of magisk anymore, but you can still install it, issue with mounting module can happen tho as mentioned below)
- New cust (but don't stick after reboot)
- App signature disabled ! Meaning modded system apk can be availible in the future (will post them as addon maybe)
- Removed miui supermarket (If you want it I'll make a link in op)
- Battery optimization, less log spam etc
- Many more that I don't remember

Things to know :

Magisk mounted app make the app appear twice in home launcher (issue with dual app feature of miui 8)
Video editor is still showing an error...
Google assistant if installed is assistant by default
Safetynet half pass, snapchat get logged in without issue, no idea about android pay etc (report if it works)
Stock Camera have lots of new feature some works some other don't, you can try and see, also after taking pic with stock camera, pic get stuck, you need to quit or change camera mode to take a pic again
I kept google camera too but if you want to remove stock camera you can with root file manager

Current issue (trying to solve) :
Miui video editor doesn't work

Changes :
Sim activation is a bit different than before but it work completely
