Equalizer apps for Lineage 14.1 ​

Note: For other ROMs , Instructions are given at the end of this post:good:​

Lineage has ended support for yureka and yureka plus . This equalizer packages are specially coded for final built of lineage keeping in mind that rom is stable and can be used as daily driver. Volume glitches are fixed ( Volume glitches - While playing music tracks of mp3 / itunes aac file format with maximum volume set on music player( without inbuilt equalizer) with enabled AudioFX / MusicFX app, There is sudden increase in volume levels on headphones by fast forwarding or jumping on time. This bug is commonly seen on Audiofx and Musicfx apps ). Equalizer packages in the download link have no such volume glitches and have smooth operation on wide range of audio formats. AudioFX patch and MusicFX app (volume glitch fixed) also given at end of this post. AudioFX patch and MusicFX packages does not contain sony files . All equalizer apps presented here do not require root to function

Note: Only choose any one of the zip packages ( Equalizer (sony) / AudioFX patch / MusicFX ) to flash.

Disclaimer: This package is only for experiment and development purpose . Do not use head-phones for longer time. ( higher volumes may damage your precious ears). Always set media volume less then or equal to 75 % for safe listening and use at your own risk.

Sony music enhancement for Yureka/Yureka Plus running on official lineage os 14.1​

Fully functional and good replacement for inbuilt audiofx app with better sound quality. This package will optimize the device audio to give you maximum music experience. This package is different from other sony sound mods available ( contains no junk files...does not replaces system libraries and root independent…does not crash FM app . ). I edited some of the audio codes so that this package is fully functional on yureka and yureka plus. Great thing about this package is it delivers good bass effect on headphones and external speaker optimization ( Clear phase, xloud and s-Force). I have tested this package on final built of lineage and it is fully functional. Audiofx/musicfx app is replaced by sony audio settings app. It will integrate with all music players.

Testing Environment ​

Tested on ROM: lineage-14.1-20180909-nightly-tomato-signed.zip​

Other ROMs : Not sure. (Other roms not tested but it may be functional on some custom roms. It is better to test only on nougat roms.) . Report if this works on LP/MM/Nougat other than lineage/O/P. Feedback is welcome:good:​

Installation​

1. Uninstall previous sound mods if any and then install this zip through recovery. Clean flash with rom is recommended . Equalizer will take time to settle on first restart.

Note: Clear data of sony audio settings app and FM app on app settings before use.


Uninstall Instruction​

To uninstall any equalizer package, Flash Uninstall & Restore.zip through TWRP and restart. Download link given in the attachment. This zip will restore AudioFX app and all its original files.​

Settings recommended​


1. Only clearAudio+ Enabled ( good for classical style music)

2. Only Dynamic normalize Enabled ( For louder and balanced output ) .

3. Enabling sound effect settings with one of the equalizer effects (bass boost ,pop, treble boost, rock) with surround sound ( studio effect ) and dyanamic normaliser enabled with headphone option set to general. (Good for modern day music)

4. Only Headphone selection Enabled (Good for various type wired headphones and Wireless headphones not supported in this mode).

5. Enabling clear phase, xloud and S-Force Front Surround.(Only for external speaker settings)

Note: Audio Quality and clarity depends on audio formats and bit rate.

Note for other ROMs : If you need equalizer for other ROMs ( LP/MM/ Nougat other than lineage /O/P ) post your reply and upload " audio_policy.conf " file of your ROM. You can find this file on system/etc/audio_policy.conf.
