Before I had to reinstall my device from factory settings I used K9-mail to read my home mails (pop server).
I used the standard mail program that came with the device to read my work mails (imap server).
Since one of the problems was that I had to much clutter on my device resulting in running out of memory I wanted to reduce the number of apps and therefore decided to use the standard app for both my work and my private emails.
Since my work emails on the imap server are not deleted I do not have a problem with losing mails. And the settings on my device are that I keep the mails locally for a month.
For my home account thought, when I sync my mails on my home pc, the mails on the email server are deleted, and therefore also deleted on the next sync with my tablet.
With K9-mail I could tell the program to keep my mails locally even if the mails on the server were deleted. With the standard Samsung mail program that is not possible. Also I cannot stipulate that the mails should be kept for a certain period of time before being deleted.
Does anyone know of a way to avoid losing the mails locally on the tab when the mailserver is cleared by downloading the mails to my home computer ?
