Some videos on YouTube says that it was the overheating problem of processor or manufacturing defect that videos also clam that they solved the problem by applying thermal paste and pads on proscessor. Any one try this solution

Hey,

For those suffering from the dreaded battery drain, I found something interesting. By disabling wake locks on the qualcomm location package, the phone started getting really good standby battery life. I used this article as a base for blocking the com.qualcomm.location package : https://www.xda-developers.com/stop-wakelocks-android-without-root/

The main culprit for the drain on my phone was the LocationManagerServiceEx service which would often triggers wake locks once called after using maps or waze for example. I haven't seen any downside using this method : GPS still works flawlessly as well as the Location function. Give it a go and report back, now using the V10 is a treat, as it should always have been :)

Hey, don't bother, I forgot to post that it wasn't working properly after all. For now, I use WakeBlock on my rooted H960A to block the LocationManagerServiceEx wakelock that pops up after using GPS heavy apps like Waze. It then ate through my battery unless I rebooted the device (looking at the code, it's never properly released ...) . Haven't seen any adverse effect after blocking it for now.
As a side note, LocationManagerServiceEx isn't a qualcomm service as I previously though, but a com.android.server one stored in the services.jar library. If you look around, you'll see other LG devices are impacted ...

My standby drain is managable using Naptime and a few other tweaks. What bothers me is even when the phone completely shutdown, I experience over 10% of power loss half a day. Anyone able to resolve this?
