Just last night, I charged fully to 100%, and went to sleep. Woke up to 42% remaining!! 58% overnight?? That's not right. AOD is off, only wifi & sync on, signal is strong. I've now gone through and killed as much bloat as I can without rooting. It's funny because during the day it drains as expected with normal workday use.

This is best phone I every wanted. Galaxy S8 is best device in its own. No one can beat it.

i'd take the phone back and get a new one. otherwise
make sure facebook app is disabled (if you don't use it) supposedly the biggest drain of any app
did you add any apps that may be draining the battery? many apps do

i have every app to sleep except gmail and ad-clear
in settings press/hold the battery icon until the menu comes up. you should solve most your issues there, also go to device maintenance
most apps 'allow background data' =off
most apps 'allow app while data saver on' =off
and most notifications =off
bixby totally off and button disabled
i get average use 24-36 hrs battery life per charge s8+
overnight uses 2% average
