1% would be easily attainable if I was able to root and and manage the wakelocks with Amplify. I could also turn off always on screen and lower it a bit as well but I am happy with batt life and I actually like the AOS.

Any reason why my phone isn't entering deep sleep? I don't even have anything on the phone. Just a few games, no social media at all, most bloat is disabled.
maybe you've enabled an app that keeps running in the background, maybe something like Bixby ...
I've disabled everything bixby related. I used BK package Disabler and disabled ALL bloat.
do an experiment, disable BK package disabler or re-enable all that you've disabled, remove BKPD, disable always on display, restart (or have no apps running or social media sync) and see if your phone still can't go into deep sleep. make sure to disable location and NFC.
if does go into deep sleep then try running your social media apps and see if it still goes into deep sleep.
if it does then it's might be something you had disabled in BKPD that is causing the issue.
What are you using to see that it's not going into deep sleep?
Tried something last night and put it in Max power saving mode before going to bed. Only dropped 2% overnight! It would be perfect to have as a night mode but for one annoying decision on Samsung's part. They shut down the alarm clock in this mode too! I was late for work today.
If they would just allow the damed alarms to work it would be perfect. Still contactable in emergencies, very low drain.
Edit: I'm a dummy. Just add the clock to the home screen and alarm will work again.

0.8%/hour when wifi/bluetooth AND synch are on, in a period of ten hours, using GSAM.
0,6% or even 0.5% (!)with everything here above off.
But not in medium power mode. I do not think there will be much difference, because device more or less sleeps.
I will try that later, I used medium 100% of the time with my note 5, quite some difference.

Heavy battery drain
Mine is dropping from 100% to 75% in ~7 hours, while wifi and data connections are off.
Any ideas about how to find the culprit please?

I'd do a factory reset and reinstall everything, something isn't right for sure. I usually have everything running and still only get a 1 or 2 percent drop while its sleeping
Or get GSAM battery and follow the adb instructions and see what's killing the battery
Avoid resetting the phone after doing the adb thing, I did and they now those stats don't show in gsam. I started a new thread to ask if anyone figured out a way to get the adb command to stick but haven't heard back yet

I have the exact same issue. 20-30% drain and <5% shown for battery usage
Love the battery life of this phone.
AOD is on, WiFi always on. Mostly full brightness but reduced in the evenings to around 20-30%.
No packages disabled.

today I was only able to leave it off the charger for 4 houes after it full charged.
100% in airplane mode nothing activated, lost 2% of battery an hour. please help
