Do you happen to have the dual-sim model too? I think maybe this is why my battery is performing so badly.
no, I have snapdragon sprint model. if we can't discover the issue in the next few days I will have to initiate a return ?

have you used any package disabler?
my phone is pure stock, only thing I did was shut of aod in the settings.

for anyone just joining 25% battery lose as we sleep with airplane mode on and aod off. battery usage shows less than 5% as in the screenshot

Went to sleep with the phone at 100% with wifi and Bluetooth still connected (Gear S2). Woke up 7 hours later and the phone was at 98%

I didn't disable anything either, I just installed a few apps that I use frequently.
I'm doing a hard reset right now and if this doesn't solve the problem then I'll send back the phone too. At this price it should definitely be more stable: it's not normal to pay 1000$ and rely on luck to have a decent battery

Please let me know if the reset works for you. Did your phone ship with any carrier software? I'm considering flashing the "unlocked" firmware with Odin...
I will give it one or two more chances, tonight if it goes bad I'm calling Samsung

Mine is already unbranded so there must be another problem than the carrier software... I just made a factory reset, charged the battery to 100%, installed whatsapp and disabled a few apps and the 2nd SIM and stopped the wifi and data connection. Now I'll send it to sleep (I hope it listens!) and I'll post a battery usage screenshot tomorrow morning :fingers-crossed:

Yes, exactly... and still the same result: 75% after 7 hours. I will try the airplane mode tonight before going to samsung on Saturday. I can't think of anything else but that it's a series with battery hardware issue... it wouldn't be a first for them :(

Yeah a guy in the poor battery thread said he had it checked by Samsung and his phone had a faulty battery. Think you'll get a new phone now :)

I have been using the phone for a week. The standby drain for overnight (for me from 00:30 AM to 9:00 AM, around 8hrs to 9hrs) is growing from 4% to 7% as I install more apps. I got constant 5% overnight until yesterday. Yesterday I installed Slack and some other apps, which caused it to drain 7% overnight. I think 5% is pretty good and 7% is below my expectation. I would see how things go in next few days. I leave everything on (Wifi, Bluetooth, Location) apart from AOD, and I have an LG watch connect to it all the time. I don't put anything in 'Always Sleeping Apps' and don't perform 'Device maintenance' at any time. I will try using 'Device maintenance' before I go to bed.

here is a screenshot of my battery. I didn't put it in airplane mode this time, because, I won't usually be in airplane mode. I will test it again tonight with airplane mode, but I'm angry, a one thousand dollar phone shouldn't have a worse battery than my 4 year old iphone:confused:

I think it's better if you just return the device and get a new one as it's in the return window.
I ordered direct from Samsung and it took two and a half weeks to arrive.. I think the waiting line is just as bad at the moment. Will I still get my free wireless charger and sdcard? I helped justify the price with those items.

The phone was officially launched last Friday, so I am not sure if you counted your waiting time during pre-order as shipping time? You need to find out the real shipping time from Samsung to you so you can better justify how long you would get it. Usually from Samsung website, it should not take two or three business days to arrive unless it says it won't ship in next few days. I think you need to contact Samsung for this especially in regarding the gift.

Did you see my stats? I am currently charging it to full now so I can test again in airplane mode. This is so frustrating.

Yes, I have just about the same stats as you. I think we were just out of luck to get bad batteries, but I keep in mind it's still better than to have one of the Note 7 faulty batteries :fingers-crossed: #fireworks :cowboy:
Tomorrow morning I go to the closest Samsung Service Center and I'll let you know how this will be handled.
