I mmy mate 10 pro battery drain 30% over 8 hours standby after the latest system update 8.0.0.131. before update was 2-3% only.
suspect there is something wrong with the network drain after the update. the battery drain remain normal if I put it on flight mode.

Strange, I haven't experienced any issues with Chrome eating up excessive amounts of energy. I have disabled the option for it to run in the background though.

I used to have issues with NFC service randomly starting up, with no way of terminating it, and it ate up ****loads of battery too. Even freezing it via Titanium didn't help, nor did cleaning the cache or app data. Since I've no need for it, I ended up uninstalling it, now it's fine.

go to battery - launch close everything except the important stuff and enjoy the insane battery life

emui is S**T with battery unless you follow the applications launching trick

seriously this device with pure android would of been the perfection at its finest

Do you have android Oreo yet? I am struggling to find the 'same settings' as on android nougat.

Depends on app but for most of them, I choose manually and define options depending on my needs
Hi sonydesouza,

How did you configure the settings. Since the update to Oreo I am only getting 3 hours of SOT which is very disappointing.
In general, if I do not want an app to be running in the background or starting on its own i will choose to m it manually an deselect all options?
How do you handle apps that you do want to receive notifications from?

Thank you.

What do you mean?? Mate 10 came out with Oreo.

Just go to launch select all manual then choose what u need and make it automatically

In my case only WhatsApp messenger and Gmail are automatically. Everything else manual and I restricted them

With restricted you do say all three selections are off for the other apps or do have individual settings for each app?

As you said dude. Manually and deselect all options for most of them. For app I want notifications, I let auto options.
Install accu Battery for example and see if an app drains a lot and send us screenshot
Which firmware do you have?
What app do you use the most? It depends.. If you use a lot of social media or camera, it drains a lot...
Your network signal is good?

Two weeks ago, it losses somewhat like 2%/hour at night. After a factory reset, with the same configuration, I'm now at 0.8~1%/hour drain.
Wifi on, bluetooth on, location on, a lot of app not in background, but wheater updating every hour, and I don't know about the sync of outlook, probably too much but I don't find how to lower it.
It's ok for me, I don't want to explain to my SMARTphone what it should do or not, and with two days of use, it's pretty decent.
Mate 10 pro. Vers .128

Edit: if I do not use my phone a lot, I only have a 3-4h SOT with a 2 days life time. Of course if I use it a lot, it jumps to 7-8h of SOT but for 10h battery lifetime... It's pretty normal in fact. Or some of you have 8h SoT and 2 days battery life?
