The significant motion sensor is a virtual sensor using the physical accelerometer. From android.com:

A significant motion detector triggers when the detecting a “significant motion”: a motion that might lead to a change in the user location.

This means the significant motion sensor will only provide data if a significant motion is detected by the system (e.g. walking). The accelerometer continuously returns the accelerations for each axis.

To check out those sensors you can install one of many sensor apps. I usually use cpu-z.
but what is causing those sensors to turn on? Phone was on bedside table whole time left alone, so significant motion should not happen.

Google home device does sit next to my phone, maybe the speakers electromagnetic waves mess with the sensors. hmm I'll try moving the google home tonight.

My Huawei Mate 10 (dual sim) is 8 months old. For the first few months, battery was exemplary. Unfortunately, now, even on standby, it loses almost 40% of battery!! I tried to factory resetting once. It's still the same. :( Do I need to replace the battery?

I'd recommend you to contact Huawei Customer service. There's no hint at battery level manager about what's the culprit: hardware or software ?
I you don't mind, after you did a full backup of the phone (HiSuite on computer or using an USB storage media, try another factory reset and check what's the battery drain with no app installed.

I used to have terrible standby up to 12 percent per night and then deleted the cache partiton and somehow that fixed all my problems. I get 0 standby drain. Finished the day off with 33 percent and woke up the next morning with 33

Bought this phone ALP-L29 8.0.0.138(C605) because of the big battery and screen.. oh man I'm regreting now.. 10 - 15% 8 hours standby with background, notifications & gps disabled (only wifi + 2 sims enabled), which is unacceptable considering I would only lose 1 - 2% at most on my Mi Max 2 in similar conditions, even if you tell me "that phone have 33% more battery capacity to start with!", 2%*1.33 will never be equal to 10%.

BLA-A09 on 119, lose about 5% nightly with AOD enabled.

both of you are lucky... maybe you have a good mobile signal. I use 2xSIM's and I lose around 1%/h during night time.

Standby drain mate 10 pro

My Mate 10 Pro used 62% this night, GPS, WiFi, BT... Off. This happens for like a week now. AccuBattery doesn't show any extreme power intensiv apps. Any suggestions?

do you have restarted phone ?

in some cases , software issue cause battery drain and phone gets hot

Thanks for your quick response!
Yes I did. I also did a factory reset and I cleared the cache. Unfortunately no improvement. I'd like to attach a screenshot of AccuBattery but when I try to, a pop-up opens in order to insert an URL. Is it possible with device intern pictures?
