maybe you should install a windows system on an old computer to flash your phones. this rom cant be flashed directly via recovery, you need to make a update.zip to flash it via rec. changing the roms wifichip to another version isn't that difficult..im pretty shure you get this working on your device. a defective touch can't be repaired through a new firmware - this is a hardware failure.

Thank you for you response ! I have dual boot PC ( W7 & Linux ) , so it's not a problem to use WIndows. In fact I used MTK dDroid tools to extract the scatter.txt from the working device , and with that scatter used , then I made a backup of the working device with SP_Flash tool . I was unsure if I should tick only the "cache " box , or also the "user" box. Finnaly , i decided to give a try with the both above boxes .

Will I brick the phone if I'll flash it with the resulted ROM ?

I am on the step where I'm struggling to extract the whole stock firmware from the working phone . I used " dd" comands on lInux for different nand partitions listed on extracted scatter.txt .

Thanks to every one who could point me to the right method of generating the right "update.zip" for flashing the boot-looped phone .

on the device information i had those versions on the original firmware, i try to root that firmware but was unable to do this, so i try to put other firmware based on those models below

i will attach some pictures with the display now, it seems to be missing RED
any idea where to get factory flash? or what to modify?
i uploaded firm with SP_Flash_Tool_v3.1222.00 without battery

I think, U better throw it to da BIN . . I will lose my patience soon, also with mine , because i discovered the phone backups made yesterday was full of bloatware/malvare/ and trojans.

i fixed brick, i used SPMultiPortFlashDownloadProject
firm from chine-iphone russia
i did some changes to the camera, sensors and display from the program spmulti port an i fix the damn thing,

You could try my rom posted on needrom HERE its just a slightly modified version of the stock rom, and see if thats any better, looks to me like a problem with the display driver, if the colours were all ok before, you can change the display driver with SPmultiport Flashtool, which I could never get the hang of using.

Edit... I see you've fixed it while I was posting this.


@HerrBulles could you be more specific about the Bloatware/Malware and trojans that you have found? as I've had a n9770 for a couple of years now and have not encountered any problems with it so far.

ANDROID/UUPAY.F.Gen is one of them , found in my phone firmware .
It was detected by Avira live CD .

Later I installed Eset Antivirus on the handset and after few struggles it managed to put the culprit into the quarantine . Because I wished to be sure I also used Mobile Uncle Tool, with "root" rights, in order to delete the com.google.hfapservice apk from my handset. For sure , after a usual "Factory reset " it will reappear. I would like to clean carefully the phone and then to make a backup , to reflah the phone with malware-free Android .

Ok thanks for that, always wise to check on these things, I have an mt6577 and a mt6589t and have done a deep scan on both with Eset which found nothing, so its not all chinese devices.

Thanks to both, APN is correct, and now I think it´s a problem of the Antenna... i´ve only seen it conected to 3G once, and for just one or two minutes after conecting to edge again...

In our country 3G is available only in big cityies , the remote areas are not well covered. Could that be also your problem ? :silly:

J'essaie de trouver la 4.4.2 ou 4.4.3 mais jusqu'à présent cela ne fonctione pas ( y compris la version de chez MIUI

Pour l'instant je m'occupe plus du Elephone P2000 qui a un bug que je n'arrive pas à résoudre, le switch pour les cam qui est absent, donc seule la cam de 8 Mp (12 nterpolé) fonctionne.

method 1 (if flash of the new)
1. replace the EBR1, MBR and scatter files in the firmware on the files from the attached and flash with a new files.
after flashing the download will be cyclical.
Don't worry.
2. wipe data /factory reset and wipe dalvik cache in CWMrecovery.


method 2 (if you change the phone at the ready)
1. make a backup via CWMrecovery.
2. flashed the EBR1, MBR and scatter files from the attached through Flashtool (via button upgrade).
3. restored your backup.
4. wipe data /factory reset and wipe dalvik cache in CWMrecovery.
p.s. Your settings can be removed.

can't find wipe dalvik cache in my cmw menu. Can it be that problem because when i make all the steps, make soft brick. i have star n9770 20130828_e1909l_v77_gq1008_a41_v20. thank's.
