Status bar size increase (Android 11)

Updating to MiA3 has increased the status bar size to half a centimeter past the notch length. TO make sure It wasnt in my head, I compared the screenshots that I had taken prior to the system update and the status bar size was just a couple milimeters past the notch.
Please help me fix this, or the display+font size settings that you guys have on your devices along with the smallest width setting to make sure its not a settings issue.

I notice this too, and hated it. I'm looking how to change this too, but had no luck until now.

It's a bug that will most likely be fixed in the next update but hey it's not like we got bad updates before right?
