I like the red icons, can anyone provide instructions on how to get this to work with DXLA2 firmware as copying it over only provides force closes.

Copy the downloaded files to sdcard (/sdcard/) and flash via ClockWorkMod ;)

Thats a nice looking red theme, I was wondering if you could do the same thing with red ICS or Samsung icons but keep the settings and brightness icons the same? :)

Hello ssaass,

I have a P6810 and would like to have the stock bar, but with a black backgroud, green batery level and wifi signal.

If I upload my stock systemUI could you tweak it?

Or, can you pointme where to find the info to do it myself.

Thank you.

I did it!

I changed only background to black and wifi icon to green.

Do any one knows how to change the color of the battery icon?

Edit: ok, I have found that the battery icons are in framework-res.apk. Is it safe to replace those icons just like in SystemUI.apk?

How did you do it?

Like where are the graphics located and how would I take modified ones and add only those modified ones back to the system?

Resuming:

1.- Copy SystemUI.apk and framework-res.apk from your tablet to your computer.
2.- Extract them using 7.zip.
3.- Browse the extracted folders searching for .png files and modify them as you like (be carefull with .9.png)
4.- Once you have edited the pngs OPEN the original apk with 7zip and REPLACE the files inside it with the ones you modified (check the correct path).
5.- Replace the apk in your tablet.

I have used GIMP as image editing software

I have not yet replaced my framework-res.apk. I'm still editing the battery icons.

I'm newbie with this stuff so not 100% sure about how all this work. And as everything esle, do it at your own risk! :)

Take a look at this article, it's for the Xoom, but both are androids aren't they?

To the OP

Hi there. These look really nice. Could you please let me know what firmware your pulled the Systemui.apk from? I am trying to find the most commonly used firmware so that mods/themes will fit with my ROMs. If this was mentioned in the thread, I must have missed it (skimming), so apologies in advance. Thanks.
