I installed and didn't feel any difference.how can I increase headset volume manually
Sent from my OnePlus 5 using XDA Labs
In fact, the headset speaker doesn't sound a lot by default. If you put your ear close enough you will hear that now it produces sound, but it is around 5% loud compared to the bottom speaker.
You can install the app Viper4Android that DorianX offers along with the stereo speakers mod (install it via TWRP) and then activated it via Magisk. After rebooting the phone, you can go to Viper4Android,->Phone Speaker->Master Power (ON) + Master Gate (Limiter) increase the Output Gain.
It worked for me but, still I am not impressed with the loudness of the Phone Speaker, obviously it is not meant to be used as a normal speaker for media consumption, but still provides enough sound to fill in the front side of the screen which sounds directly to the viewer, compared to the single (before the mod) bottom speaker. (please somebody to correct me If my procedure is wrong or not the ideal one).
Hope the above are helpful enough
One question for Dorian:
Every time I start the Viper app, it asks for the V4A driver installation. I installs it properly, asks for reboot but every time after the reboot it asks again for the driver. What am I doing wrong?
Thank you
