Stereo Speaker Mod for OOS

using that file i attached in that post,
use ur favourite root browser, drop the file in Root>system>etc

When you put the file there, it should ask you to overwrite the existing one. choose yes to overwrite it. (make sure you chose to debloat items from the rom, otherwise you wont have space in System to do this correctly)

Restart ur phone, then launch an app for testing (i use mx player, or youtube). (i dont think it works 100% of the time with every app, will need a better mod for that maybe)

i play the video/song, turn up the volume a bit, and put my ear near the earpiece to make sure its coming out from the earpiece, and then i put my ear near the bottom to make sure its coming out of there seperately.

Sweet. But if I wanna deactivate it. How am I doing that? Just uninstall the module?

Hey, which rom (and version) are you running?

I think this may only work for stock or stock based roms. Based off of 4.5.8 only.

I am using xxx no limits.
I can try to make it work for other roms too(hopefully I'm not biting off more than I can chew).

I'd love it if you could make it work for RR unofficial

anyone know the code line to edit the Volume? this is way too loud, I dont have doubt that it wont blow the bottom speakers. the sibilant is quiet annoying too!

take the mixer pacht file i post in this answer
then put it over in etc
rename the old file .bak
then take the one u downloadet an put into etc
chance permission to 644
reboot ur phone an now it shut work

Alright,

The following is untested. I will explain what I did so that way you can decide if you feel like trying it or not.

I downloaded the magisk version from the first post.
Extracted it with 7zip.
Updated the .xml file inside to have the changes to allow stereo mod + audio recording.
Zipped it all back up with 7zip.

I do not know if there are other values or places that absolutely require changing for a magisk module to work. If so, i apologize in advance for not knowing.

Hopefully it does work, as I feel I haven't done anything useful for the modding community in a long time

It work on oos 4.5.8-4.5.10 ## i tested

The mod works but it breaks the mic in video recording for me. OxygenOS 4.5.10.

So i compared the files and added a path to the mod, now everything is working.

In case someone is wondering i add this to the modded file:
