The mod works but it breaks the mic in video recording for me. OxygenOS 4.5.10.

So i compared the files and added a path to the mod, now everything is working.

In case someone is wondering i add this to the modded file:
HTML:
	<path name="handset-mic-re-sbc-other">
        <ctl name="AIF1_CAP Mixer SLIM TX6" value="1" />
        <ctl name="AIF1_CAP Mixer SLIM TX8" value="1" />
        <ctl name="SLIM_0_TX Channels" value="Two" />
        <ctl name="SLIM TX8 MUX" value="DEC8" />
        <ctl name="ADC MUX8" value="DMIC" />
        <ctl name="DMIC MUX8" value="DMIC0" />
        <ctl name="SLIM TX6 MUX" value="DEC6" />
        <ctl name="ADC MUX6" value="DMIC" />
        <ctl name="DMIC MUX6" value="DMIC5" />
        <ctl name="DEC6 Volume" value="93" />
    </path>
Just download the file and copy to /system/etc and set permissions to rw-r--r--, then reboot.
Hey, I've done this change a few posts back (https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=73256556&postcount=91)

Only difference is we did them in different sections of the xml file, but it shouldnt matter.

I've also just compared the old file i did with the latest 4.5.10 file, and it is still the same, so there is no need to update this mod if you are using the xml from

here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=73256556&postcount=91

or if you are using the magisk mod from here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=73340026&postcount=108

both of those are still valid for 4.5.10.

It work on oos 4.5.8-4.5.10 ## i tested
It work on pa/aex/pf ## i tested

Sent from my ONEPLUS A5000 using Tapatalk

Thanks TONGEXHISPEED for testing.

What i haven't been able to figure out is if the earpiece doesn't work sometimes (in some calls) because of:
this mod (1)
v4a (2)
bug in the firmware (3)
or
if its some combination of the above 3 (4).

however, when toggling speakerphone on and off, it fixes it, (i used to just recall the person, but i learned that toggling speakerphone on and off fixes it faster without the need of hanging up a call)

It would be nice if we could use something like this:

Main speaker= 25%
Ear speaker= 50%

Main speaker= 50%
Ear speaker= 75%

Main speaker= 75%
Ear speaker= 100%

Main speaker= 100%
Ear speaker= 100%

So they sound with the same volume. (Except at 70%~ and higher)
But I don't know If there is a way to implement something like that, to control volume separately.

+1 for this!

I'm not getting the time to research this as much as i wanted.

PS: i just checked and the mod used for 4.5.10 ALSO works for 4.5.11. there has been no changes in any of the mixer files.

This is not further developed :crying::crying:.
Can a developer continue this mod and perhaps create an app that updates this mod automatically? :confused:

do turn up the volume to max sometimes?
I personally tried this mod and went back to stock. I found when you max out volume (which I do a lot), the earpiece speaker sounds like crap. Probably is because the speaker is tiny and unlike HTC's boom sound, this mod isn't clever enough to send highs to the earpiece and lows to the big speaker on bottom. That's why the HTC can sound so clear when it's very loud.

Tldr; This mod is great at 2/3 volume and below. If you max out volume regularly, this isn't for you.

You can just edit the maximum volume of the earpiece speaker.

I flashed this mod on Op5 but it is only working in YouTube. It doesn't work on Google music or podcast addict.
are you sure? there isn't any way to only have this mod apply to certain apps, but maybe it has something to do with mono audio? Are your podcasts mono?
