OK, I'm no expert on the difference between 4G / 3G / 2G / edge (please excuse if 2G/Edge are the same) I recently did the unlimited data thing with an iPhone but I'm getting text messages from att about needing to change to a 4g data plan. I've called several times and they keep up with the "no unlimited plans exist anymore". This may be because I have a discount plan through my employer so I don't get normal customer care I get business division. In any case I would like to be able to disable just the 4g portion of data for the time being, anyone know of a way to do it? I tried a few apps but none worked and I don't want to disable syncing.

You can't. AT&T's "4G" is just HSPA+, which is 3G. As far as I know, it's not even live anywhere, and nobody is getting anywhere near the promised speeds.

If you go into an AT&T store and tell them about the text messages you keep getting, and just say you're coming from an iPhone and you'd like the messages to stop. Those messages aren't interfering with anything, it's just a glitch in their system since their rate plans are a clusterfuck right now.

which languages are there in settings?

English, Spanish, French, and Portuguese.

i flash the 1.2.6 and for some reason when it was done i couldn't used the touch key when ever i touch them noting happen pls help

it will be a network unlocked atrix

not a bootloader unlocked atrix. you will be able to to only flash the p-roms only at the moment (gingerblur) (greyblur)

thx for your answer but really i'm not that dumb i know it's network unlocked but what i mean is rom compatability because all i see here is roms for orange or att or bell but no one mentioned the gsm version so will i be able to use all these roms but after all thx for your attention

Cannot uninstall or install apps

At&t Matrix running Gingerblur 4.5. I cannot install or uninstall any kind of app, whether it be from market, Amazon, or. apk. When I go to manage applications, every app says "...computing " . I have removed my SD card to no avail. I am at a loss. I bought my phone 2 months ago. I rooted and installed gingerblur that same day. This problem started 1 1/2 weeks ago. Any help would be great.

I've had my Atrix for a while and I finally decided I have the time to sit down and read about rooting, etc. Mainly want to get rid of the bloatware and get some themes on the phone.

I'm thinking of installing GingerBlur, on the briefmobile site it says it roots the phone for you if you already don't have it rooted? but on the installation instructions, it REQUIRES the phone to be rooted first? wtf? Can someone please clarify on this point, thanks!

Without root, you can't access the system files needed to install anything.

EDIT: Just re-read your post, it's misinformation there. You can't install any p-roms without root, so having a p-rom root you is redundant.

So we actually DO need root in order to install it, correct? And once I root the phone using a method like GingerBreak, I would have to install CWM and load the P-ROM into CWM to install it correct?

Also, how would I install CWM? Can I sideload it using SWM or is there a way to install it after I root the phone? Thanks again!

When I try to put my music on my 32 gig ext SD card either by dragging and dropping or by Windows media sync, it fails.... either only part gets there or none at all, and if part gets there it all gets thrown in lost.dir after a reboot.... i don't get it.... please help.... you can pm me
