Do you still have that flash able zip for gps? I constantly have issues w it the gps not getting a complete lock and it is off by a block or 2 so I am getting delayed directions or constant route changes.
Sounds similar to the issue I was having.

Try flashing this zip and let us know if it works for you. If not it is more than just a config file issue and may need more research.

Can I come straight from that ROM to Darklord or do I need the PL1 update? Currently have OK5 BB and Modem.
That's a good question. RR is not a touchwiz based ROM, correct? I have not tried any of the RR ROMS because I like the feel and functionality of the Samsung stock based ROMs. You could try a full wipe (cache, dalvik, data, system, and internal storage) and see if it works. If not, you would probably need to odin back to stock and start over.

I'm not familiar with OK5... is that from a Sprint MVNO? I'm familiar with OC5 or OK2 from Sprint, but not OK5. I have used Darklord ROMs with both the OC5 and PH1 base, but have been using PL1 lately. There is really no need to update to PL1 before flashing this ROM (unless there are some incompatibilities from RR that forces an odin flash), but if you need to go back to stock, I would just update to the latest base and go from there.

Hope that helps.

Beautiful Beaufort By The Sea
Doing the full monty. Will see how it goes. And it was the OC5 BB and modem.
Got it all loaded up and tweaked to my liking. This Rom is much smoother than RRemix Rom. Looks like everything is working right out of the box. I like what I am seeing. Thanks.

You need to select XAS under the CSC selection during install if you want to edit the APNs. Selecting SPR does not allow for editing of APNs.

Unless this ROM installs differently than the unmodified v4, you should have the option to not install exposed or uninstall exposed with an update reinstall... these options are in the Aroma installer.

Hey Mid3vil...

Thanks for exposing this ROM to the N3 Sprint section. I just found this thread but have been using this ROM since the beginning of March when V1 was released. This is by far the best MM ROM for the Sprint Note 3, and with the N7 SystemUI it provides a near Note 7 experience.

I assisted sczar with some information and feedback in making V2 work with Sprint, the final changes went into V4. The APNs should have been fine and did not need to be altered to get V4 to work. There are still some minor irritations that maybe can be addressed, but some of them may be just my phone acting up.

You already addressed one of them by tweaking the the framework-res.apk to update the eri.xml to show Sprint. I have been manually applying the fix after install by copying the eri.xml file to /data.

Another is the gps.conf file is wrong for Sprint (at least me and some others) and does not allow the gps to locate properly. I thought it was just me and ended up extracting the gps.conf file from the stock PL1 ROM, but then ended up making it into a flashable zip when someone else had the same issue and was looking for a fix.

Lately I have been getting an issue with the wifi disconnecting when screen is off and then trying to connect when screen is turned on... sometime is cannot reconnect and I have to turn off the phone and reboot it in order to get wifi to connect (just rebooting does not seem to work??). I have researched this issue on the internet and have tried every solution I could find... nothing seems to permanently fix it. Went back to stock for a few days and it would also disconnect when screen is off but would always reconnect again. Since this is a new issue I picked up in mid April, it might be a hardware glitch since my phone is now just over 4 years old.

Have been using the latest Phantom kernel with this ROM and it is fantastic... great battery life and performance.

Again, thanks for sharing this ROM with the Sprint community!

I will flash later today and test tonight. I deliver pizza at night so I hope this works! Lol

Just finished installing, waiting for all my apps to re-download. Running much smoother than lollipop was, however I had been using a hotspot hack by appending "dun" to my apn settings and now I don't see hotspot functionality built in..... am I just missing it or am I stuck using 3rd party app? Now to do some research on Magisk, maybe I can finally watch DirectTV Now on my phone! Android pay would also be awesome, I've missed that since they blocked rooted devices but need my root!

So I had to revert back, had no data after toggling it on (had selected XAS during setup) and holding 1 to dial voicemail directed to a scam number for a free Life Alert if a member in my household is over 50.....

Go into apn settings and select "Sprint CDMA LTE", this apn has the "dun" attribute. I have no need to use my phone as a hotspot so have never tried it and do not know if it works with this ROM. Isn't there a hotspot app that needs to be installed?

You may need to select the proper apn in order to get data to work. Make sure either "Sprint LTE" or "Sprint CDMA LTE" is selected along with mobile data being turned on.

If that does not work, try flashing this file to see if you can get data:
MVNOBuzbee_S7e.zip

There are only minor differences between this file (which the Sprint apns that are in the unmodified DL-R v4) and the apns in this modified v4. With these apns make sure either "Sprint LTE internet" or "Sprint EHRPD internet" (with dun attribute) are selected.

Of course, these apns will work only if you are on the Sprint network. If you are on a Sprint MVNO, then you will need the appropriate apns.

Working on another port for us. Currently using a S8 port. Need to modify a few files and repackage. Hope to up soon

Very cool! Is this a true S8 port? I have not seen any in the Note3 dev section yet... only S8 addons to C9/N7/S7e ports. Will this contain mods such as list animations, ROM control, etc?

No its Marshmallow S8 wannabe. Keep hitting walls with it.. I've got data/voice sticking but other issues aren't stable enough for me to want to share.

Appreciate it taijidude, was going to try modifying the APN settings but after having the my voicemail direct to a scam number I just said to hell with it and will deal with it the way it is for the next 2 months while I wait for the Note 8, that completely destroyed my trust in this rom. If something like that is slipped in what's to say there's not something grabbing Auth tokens? Coming to that conclusion I'm just done with custom roms in general....

Is native hotspot enabled on this?

Thanks for keeping this phone alive. It's the last Samsung phone with simultaneous voice+data, removable battery and infrared blaster.
Thats the reason I keep this phone rather than upgrading. Sprint has some serious issues with the latest generation phones with the lack of Voice/Data support.

I actually don't recall if I tested the hotspot, I'm wanting to say I did but cant confirm (may have to test today).

Installation crashes

When I try to install this, it crashes and reboots the phone back to recovery. It runs for about fifteen seconds or so and then it displays the message below, freezes for about five seconds, and then reboots.

Starting AROMA installer version 2.70RC2
(c) 2013 amarullz xda-developers

The phone is fully charged. I am running TWRP 3.0.2-0. I have downloaded the zip file three different times and got the same MD5 each time. I'm coming from ResurrectionRemix, but I completely wiped the phone multiple times before trying to flash this. Does anyone have any ideas? Should I maybe try a different recovery? I have the zip on my sd card and am trying to flash from there. That's always worked fine for me in the past, but could that be an issue currently?
