I am thinking of buying it very shortly for around Rs:9.5k or $150 for our friends in the west, but does this still have the punch to stay relevent for atleast one more year from now? Development is kinda low so that's a point against it in my books. But the value for money simply can't be ignored.

And does Xolo do a good job in After Sales Service?

I can't comment on XOLO but in my opinion I would wait to see what Lollipop is like on the TN7 (if ever relesaed... it's taking so long). If it improves battery and fixes some of the little niggles with the device then it could still be worth it. The tegra 4 is in no way an outdated chip.

If you could spend a bit more though, I would undoubtedly recommend going for the Shield Tablet instead. It will be better supported and will obviously have a longer life span, with it being the newer processor!

If it was me, I'd wait for the new Shield Tablet to launch (it will be soon,~3-4 months by the rumors) and then get the original Shield Tablet with the Tegra K1 in it. I'd bet the "Shield 1" drops to $199 after the new model launches.

I'll be buying the "Shield 2" with the Tegra X1 in it to upgrade from this tablet. This tablet is definitely a very good tablet, the main downsides are the amount of RAM (1GB) and the screen resolution (1280x800). If this tablet had 2GB of RAM and a 1920x1080+ screen, then I wouldn't upgrade for probably a year. 1GB of RAM is by far the most annoying thing about the tablet, I use at least 2-3 apps to monitor and keep that number as low as possible.

I'd hold off on buying a used one for $150, that isn't a good price, brand new is $169.99 at NewEgg.
