inspite of the recent ICS leaks Austria, Turkey...
for some reason the LPF has a newer build date as in 15 of May where as the other ones all are like 5th or 4th of may

Flash the CWM.zip through stock recovery after you flashed the full LPF ROM through pc odin.

I replied a few posts eariler. To avoid wiping in your existing ICS, You could try:

1) Flash a stock GB Rom through PC Odin.
2) Reboot to stock recovery and wipe from there.
3) Reboot the phone and make sure it can reboot properly.
4) Flash the LPF through PC Odin.
5) Follow Dr.Ketan's instructions to add CWM and root.

Option: I use Mobile Odin to flash Speedmod's latest ICS kernels, just to avoid that ugly triangle.
Thanks for your answer, so it's not OK to directly flash the official ics lpf since I already have ics installed? I mean to overwrite it? My problem is internet on my side very slow, need to download offical gb again :D

The only problem from the lpf rom I am using right now is that I can't open my edge mobile data now after activating thethering sharing, the rest are all perfect, using speedmod also

As the new official LPF is non-wipe, I prefer wiping in GB.

Someone mention wiping in the new speedmod kernel is safe, but i am not dare to try.

Some said flashing through mobile odin with wipe option is ok as mobile odin uses it's own kernel while flashing. Again, do it at your own risk.

If I were you I will go the super safe way of flashing a rooted stock FB first, make sure it can boot normally, then flash the LPF through PCodin. I will skip the Cf root kernel. Just follow Dr Ketan's post to add CWM and root.

I did the downgrade to Ketan's KJ1 GB pre-rooted rom. However, I'm coming from a LP5 kernel and after PC-Odin finished flashing that rom the Note is stuck in a bootloop on the Samsung logo. My guess it's still on a ics (leaked) kernel, and that's why it can't initiate. Did I forget something?? I followed the exact steps for the PC Odin flash by Ketan, still no luck to have it booted the least in gingerbread. I used only the PDA button though, no repartition and the SGN_XX_OXA_KJ1_FACTORYFS.tar

I am however able to boot into Download mode (and odin), as well as in CWM, but the device is looping at samsung logo at boot.

If PC Odin was successful.
then do a full wipe in cwm and then it will pass the logo

But I have the feeling the kernel is not flashed, which would mean I'm still on a lp5 kernel, and that prohibits me from wiping in CWM, as that would cause me a brick. Can I flash another kernel at this point in cwm (i.e. would Abyss 4.2 work with the KJ1 rom?) as before the flash (where I had lost root, cwm wouldn't let me flash the abyss 4.2 into the device) it hanged on flashing the zip in CWM.

Your stock GB should come with the GB kernel. It should be safe to wipe there. Then you can boot normally. I did it everytime I change back to GB rom.
