It'll work on locked or unlocked Bootloader devices, best results flash on a freshly rooted ftf..

Anyone facing the aroma installer not working just delete the android folder in META-INF/com/google and replace it with decepticon roms META-INF/com/google/android folder. Ill attched the file too. And repack deodexed z2 base and flash it with recovery. You will not get the option to install the debolated rom. Its installing the whole rom.

All credit goes to the creator of decepticon rom for the relevant files. I just founded a way to fix that aroma installer error.

I can flash the ROM without using AROMA,
just edited the updater-script file from a previous installation

just delete the META-INF folder of the rom and then simply unzip the file (fix.aroma.installer.rar) and drop the folder in rom.

Instructions

1.)Flash Stock FTF(According to your model)
2.)Root and install recovery
3.)Flash Deodexed V2.zip
4.)Wipe Data factory reset
5.)Reboot

First Boot takes 15-20 Minutes


NOTE- don't install this version on other devices(M2 or C3) this version is for T2 only

The ROM / zip from post #299 is working great...

BUT.........

Problem is aroma installer is not letting us to flash the zip file..
So, I have followed steps from post #326 & flashed the zip file.

Another problem is...
After removing unwanted apps, power button stops working..
After removal process, when I press power button, phone freezes & reboots after few secs.
any help about that..?
I really want to remove unwanted apps, dont know which app removal causing this problem..

PLEASE HELP

EDIT : PROBLEM SOLVED -
I use to remove "xperia resources extension" app.. after that power button use to freeze my device when it is pressed..

ok.. updated patch from post #299 is great..

after 10 days of use.. here are few things... those I am missing or want, if someone can help about it :highfive:

1. By removing Aroma Installer from flashable zip manually, I am able to use it. (when zip unpacked, I have removed many unwanted apps, then repacked for my use only)

2. FM radio app missing

3. the notification menu, from where we can enable/disable wifi.. BT etc, it isn't transparent (how to make it transparent? any help? dont want to install other launchers) :silly:

4. sometimes SIM 2 goes offline in middle of call (maybe that problem is with my sim.. I am checking it now)

5. Two way call recording missing (it would be a great addon)

6. RAM use is high I think.. phone get laggy.. (for that issue I am using L SPEED & Greenify with Amplify - Battery Extender also Kernel Adiutor )

Service menu has stopped working I can't able to use the function also Bluetooth on/off gets stopped working, i tried active and Bluetooth shared has stopped, I just decompile the original odex and apk files from T2 Ultra lollipop 5.1.1 firmware, and finding something is missing after flash deodexed z2 base I just replacing files from the zip to T2 Ultra apk and odex files, like crash monitor system, boot info, service menu and Bluetooth but anyway thanks for the port

Update:

I not longer to use the Bluetooth in z2 base i got the error:

Bluetooth share has stopped

Trying Activate and always got the error, I just add the Bluetooth folder apk, lib and odex files to system from T2 Ultra odex and got the same error

Also the network signal is week with lte except 3g
