Tried about 5 times installing this rom on my e2303, it just bootloops until the battery runs out. Really would like to use this but I guess no dice this time.

Battery-related issues

Is there a fix for the bootloop caused by the battery runnig out of power? And/or (consequentially) is it possible to perform a battery calibration without bootloops? Because once I've removed Xposed the phone was running quite smootly until two days ago when battery died.

Also, generic question: it's possible to have a precise list of the changes made to the stock ROM? I can guess some from the AROMA installer script, but some changes aren't so clear for me (I'm far from being an expert about Android modding, this is my first time unpacking a ROM installer).

Thanks.

Yesterday I had to factory reset my Xperia and I tried it again from the beginning. I got a bootloop since my mobile was more than 3 hours with the gear animation. My phone was charging and after ~10 minutes I heard the sound that indicates the mobile is charging, so I guess there is something wrong with the startup. Maybe mobile started successfully but the gear animation was still there. After 3 hours I forced a reboot by pressing power + vol up.

I want to share with you all my conclusions and inquiries after trying a lot of things. I now have Concept-ify running and all seems to be working. Here are the steps I followed to get it working:

0. First you need to have installed latest sony firmware version on your Xperia M4 (stock MM) and TWCP (recovery.img from the first post, maybe other versions work but I used that). Also, insert a microSD with Concept-ify.zip from first post and kernel SkyMelon 8.zip. After doing some tests I think versions 8.1 and 9 end up failing (or maybe not ). Download from here:

1. Start in recovery mode, and go to WIPE to make a factory reset. This will delete all your data. Do not reboot.
2. Go to INSTALL and select Concept-ify.zip from your microSD. Install it and do not reboot.
3. Go to BACKUP and make a backup of your boot.img partition. Do not reboot.
4. Go to INSTALL and flash skymelon 8 (neither 8.1 nor 9). This will fix WiFi problem. Do not reboot.
5. Go to RESTORE and restore your boot.img backup. Do not reboot.
6. Go to WIPE and wipe dalvik cache. Reboot.
7. If your mobile keeps on gear animation for more than 30 min, force a reboot by pressing power + vol up.

I think the problem is that Concept-ify used skymelon 9, but when they went back to version 8, developers didn't adapt back the rest of components, so WiFi was not working. When installing concept-ify and later skymelon, I ended up with bootloops but restoring boot.img saved my day.

Now I have Concept-ify working with magisk. The only thing I have noticed is Amazon app is not available from Play Store, as it indicates that my device is not supported for that app version.

Best regards.
Hey, I know this is an old post, but this post really helped me. I followed your instructions and my phone no longer bootloops after rebooting, but for some reason, I lost root access. Did this happen to you as well?

Has anyone had problems with Kiwi Browser when using Conceptify? For some reason, it's the only browser that freezes up and doesn't work correctly. Which is a real shame since it's my favorite browser :(

I have an E2303 with 8 GB and tried to re-partition the internal memory to obtain more space for apps. I followed the instructions in the video but when I reached the point to re-format the modified partitions with mke2fs I got the following error:
CANNOT LINK EXECUTABLE "mke2fs": library "libext2_misc.so" not found
Is there any solution to this?

I tried to install this rom today but it refuses to install. Message: "Concept-ify is for Xperia M4 Aqua only"
My device IS exactly that. A single SIM Xperia M4 Aqua (tulip).
What's going wrong here?

I just flashed it on my m4 aqua E2303 an it works fine. I had an issue with wifi, but I fixed it by changing the boot.img(skyMelon) v8 for v9(download it from the internet) in the zip file and flashed it again and now the wifi is working too.

try to wipe your phone that might help and try to flash again.

happened to me, don't wipe cache and davlik cache before flashing, wipe it after flashing the rom and if you are stuck at boot then power off the phone from a hole in micro sd card slot, insert a pin in the hole and hold the button inside it for a while then reboot again
