Well, I actually managed to find a thread where a helpfull user has provided us with the calculator app as well as the flashlight.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2703759

Moving on to the next question, ckpv5, can I use an old nand backup 1.**.** on my 2.11.708.2 to get it back to android 4.4.2 in order to use Firewater without actually having to S-off device prior?

Update:

Ehhhhhh, I guess there is nothing I can do about it, my HBOOT is 3.18 and I can't downgrade it to a lower version, in fact I have to wait till Sunshine actually adds support for 4.4.3 and 4.4.4 (HK variants) and then S-Off the device.

Update 2:

Here's the Stock NAND backup for CID HTC_622. Made using TWRP 2.7.1.0. Software version 2.11.708.2

Does it have all that Go TV and other GO apps which come preinstalled ?

@BenPope 1.60.708.2 backup on OP is good enough for OTA purpose.
But if you still need the whole preload files, I uploaded the flashable zip - 1.60.708.2_preload.zip
here : http://sourceforge.net/projects/htconem8/files/1.60.708.2_preload.zip/download

I restored 1.60.708.2 backup and I managed to complete two OTAs 2.11.708.1 and 2.11.708.2

restore to 1.60.708.2
View attachment 3001150

first OTA to 2.11.708.1
View attachment 3001152 View attachment 3001153

second OTA to 2.11.708.2
View attachment 3001155 View attachment 3001156

then no more update available ... so I guess there is no 4.4.4 update yet for CID HTC__622; same as my original CID HTC__044 :(
Damn ... really late now ... time to sleep ;)

Actually whats preload zip ? I am really new to all this HTC stuff XD

ok:

1, are you intending to update to 4.4.4? THIS WILL HAVE CONSEQUENCES IF YOU STILL WANT TO S OFF - However u do not need to remove super s u

2, these nand backups are purely stock i'm afraid. u will have to backup any user apps u have with titanium, then restore nand and root and then rstore apps etc with titanium

U need THIS recovery.

so to be sure

1, you have 1.60.708.2 nand installed? (you said u have)

2, You have flashed the recovery above? (seems u need to do this)

3, You have the 2.11.708.2 firmware installed (you said u have)

If you can tick all three boxes above, go to check for updates and u should be able to download OTA to 2.11.708.2

Failing that, someone has posted the 2.11.708.2 nand above, simply restore that in TWRP and then reflash the stock recoveryu above and u will be where u need to be

NP mate, was a ball ache trying to find it originally so I just made one lol (i was also originally on ORANG001)

All those restrictions sucks man, we need to have control over the device rght? :) Best way is unlocked bootloader, rooted and S-OFF.
Good job again man.

SU won't stop updates mate, however SU will be removed when OTA is applied.

So are you on the stock 2.11.708.2 rom now mate?

Remember if u want sunshine to work when they bring out the next version, it's highly recommened to not apply any more OTAs :good:

excellent! when u apply 2.11.708.2 do not apply any update to 3.##.708.# base after that if u want s off in the near future :)

So if u want s off in near future its best to make 2.11.708.2 your last update until u are s off

Oh and make sure u keep a stock nand backup so u don't get stuck in future ;)

Glad u are all sorted :good:

I downloaded the nandroid backup of 1.54.707.7 and installed it on my External SD Card where I had a previous backup of TWRP.
Then I went into recovery and tried to restore. I pointed to that folder where is the backup files.
the system sees the folder..but when I try to restore it says "failed".

Any help please ?
What I did is that I extracted the the dowloaded zip file (2.3GB) and put it in
twrp/backups/HT459wmxxx/2014-04-12.06.02.02_KOT49H_release-keys

Seems that there are steps I am missing...
care to explain how to proceed ?
Do I have to first install the stock recovery ?
can I restore from recovery or it has to be from fastboot ?
Do I have to wipe anything first ?
Thanks a mil !
