That's correct, but if you use a filemanager to manage files it won't be able to get to everything because of the access permissions.

People who are using photo editing apps will not be able to edit the photos taken by the camera because of this as well...

Can this version of CWM mount the external sdcard? I know TWRP can but I use the Universal Flashing Tool for my zips. It automatically creates a flashable backup which I'd prefer to have on the external sdcard, if possible..

ES Explorer and Astro File Explorer are working fine, maybe something is wrong with them.

I have unlocked by bootloader to install DooMLord's prior to this release for root.
Now this is released and i would like to get back to locked bootloader.

Should I only flash the stripped provided here by @[NUT] bring the TA back?
Will it work? Or should I really get back to *.101 then flash this?

Is this deodexed zip aligned?

Nevermind. Coming from an unlocked boot loader and using DoomLord's 4.4.2 CWD+root, just install the stripped FTF in this thread and restored TA and it worked.

Sorry i just can understand this line ----

i did open flash tool but when i choose "select system to flash" in the middle i just cant take .ftf file only ext4 img and else.

What exactly i need to do. Another problem i cant change if i in MTP mode (Xperia Z with old Aroma ROM 7.2). Also cant find in this old version any debugging mode. Soryy but i didi did any updates a alot of time. (only 10 months 7\13)
Now i trying to install old 10.4 version from you link. Also installed XZDualRecovery before start.
Now i stuck in flash-tool in fastboot mode. Will try to install old 10.4 ver.

I saw another post saying that in 4.4, DRM stuffs (BE2 and music) will not be affected either locked or unlocked phone, but I'm not seeing any confirmation yet.

nevermind, googled a while, just open Settings > Apps > All > Media Storage. select "clear data".

Hi,
After the flashing noticed new boot logo/blue image.. Then it takes forever to update.. After 1 hour updating and rebooting twice now its very smooth.
Contras.:
Settings window has lag when scrolling

Clicking on android version to open the kit kat picture it freezes and stays black.. No kit kat image for me!

Battery!! Now it needs double as long to charge and half that long than on 4.3 to discharge! I have stamina mode and wifi mode on! This is not nice!

Camera still takes forever to load, autofocus still slow, pictures in low light worse than my old xperia arc!

Album and video folder still very slow!

When coming from a ROM that old it's probably wise to do a full wipe, but yes, you can.
