I have 4.4.2 stock rom at the moment with locked BL. Do I need to downgrade my rom with flashtool? How far do i have to go back? 4.2.2? How to instal custom recovery with locked BL?

I know its a silly question. But is this rom deodexed? And can I flash the blasterz v12 soundmod on this rom?
Btw the rom is lag free and no bugs found so far. Thanks :)

1. You have to downgrade to this FW version: 10.3.1.A.2.67 which has a simple root for locked bootloader.
2. Root above FW version with following methods:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2327472
or
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z/development/root-how-to-rooting-firmware-10-3-1-0-t2386405
3. Install a recovery, TWRP or CWM.
4. Upgrade to this pre-rooted Stock Rom from [NUT] as well: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z/development/stock-update-to-10-4-b-0-569-t2565850
5. Upgrade to this thread's OP.
6. Have fun.

Thank you again Nut!! KK it is working awesome for my XZ :D

I just have some stupid questions they are confusing me...
1. Why do we have to create a backup via TWRP if I don't see when to restore it after installing? Shall we do it? Is it just for precaution? Or does it restore automatically when we install the flashable zip?
2. Does the option "Factory reset" in TWRP is exactly the same as the option of "Factory data reset" in settings menu/Backup & restore?
3. Related to 2nd question, if I also chose to erase internal memory, will I lose root or dual recovery? (In case I would like a very very clean install of 4.4 but with root and dual recovery)

Thanks in advance for your comments :D

Backup is just for precaution, in case of any brick of new ROM.

To answer the other 2:

2: yes, it works the same

3: root and dualrecovery are integrated in system, if you don't touch that while wiping, you will be fine.
