Stock camera app not working

Hello everyone! I'm facing a few problems with the stock camera app:
- It closes before 3~5s without throwing any errors
- auto brightness fails to balance the brightness (full light or no light at all)
- portrait mode freezes the app

I already tried to perform a factory reset many times with no success.

I'm living with this problem since first android 9 release. Right now I'm completely annoyed by this.

Is there any way to reinstall the whole system or any other way to fix this issue? I must say that the camera works fine with other apps like instagram, WhatsApp video calls and skype... Looks like something related only with the stock app.

What rom do you have? Factory reset does reset the whole system. You can try to use unbrick tools to flash every partition new but this will be the same.
