Should there be a different name for our Rom?

It appears that Android Oreo based firmware is about to be released for the Aristo 2 and Aristo 2 plus !!!
I was checking out the LG open source website and I came across the following:

http://opensource.lge.com/osSch/list?types=ALL&search=LMX210MA

Note that the LMX210MA_Android_Oreo_v20a firmware release shows up under the LMX210MA (Aristo 2) model and the LMX212TAL (Aristo 2 plus) models.

I'm not certain when it will be released, but I expect it will be soon.

So keep your eyes open. The next system update should be to Oreo !!

Oh shoot I removed the System Updates from my rom. Should I add them back so that when the new update come's out we can install it? Also the update is sure to have patches in it. We might need to fix the encryption thing again. As soon as Oreo comes out I'm going to have to reflash the stock Recovery because the update probably won't work in TWRP unless we match the release keys or remove the check of it from there meta-inf file.

It's OK, you don't want to do a system update on a rooted ROM anyway. It usually results in a soft brick.
Once the Oreo firmware is released, I will create a rooted Oreo ROM. It won't take long. Then people can just install the ROM to upgrade to Oreo. You should be able to simply flash it from TWRP, just like the current ROM

Okay that sounds good. It seems that I will have to rebuild that rom to make it smaller. I'm glad you posted the source code because now I can try to compile Lineage OS 15.1!

If I update from one version of your rom to a newet version, is it safe to restore Data from the previous version after the flashing process?

Yes it's safe, but it shouldn't be necessary, since flashing doesn't wipe /data.
I do add files from /data/adb to the existing image to add some Magisk modules and apps that have been granted root to the Magisk installation. I also save some system settings, like enabling developer options and adb to the overall /data image.

Yeah that's why I want to learn to make a kernel so I could maybe get some people to help build a kernel for it so that we could OC the gpu or cpu
You could use the stock kernel to do it. The kernel version might be found online on a GitHub page. I don't know if you could use it or not. I'm just learning about kernels work myself. But the stock kernel is the zimage. (In the boot.img, I think)

Its not a big deal but in version 3a upon every reboot the phone re-enables Location, Auto Sync, and Auto Rotation.

Edit: My bad I had some settings set to change on boot via Toolbox. Im sorry for the false bug report. Feel free to remove this post. ?

I'm going to start working on decreasing the size of the new Rooted Oreo Flashable Zip Update. Any thing that you would suggest? Such as any pre-added Apps.
