Yeah well, that was already done and the problem continues :crying:
Both times got the same error, tried a lot of things, but I guess is something in the build, combined with my carrier, dunno.
I would like to know if somebody with an unlocked G2 in another country has the same problem, or uses SMS with no problem.
It seems that AT&T asked LG to hide that feature on the D800 firmware releases.Did At&t/LG remove the native launcher themes? I can't find it.
Restored back to 10d, root with IO, use flashify to install twrp, flash zip in OP, factory reset, install root, reboot.
Seen it on my own. In my case, it only occurred if I didn't wipe or if I did wipe, but used something like titanium backup to restore certain apps to their pre-kitkat data states. (I'm not sure which apps cause the problem, but obviously something to do with a google app.)I do too but gapps works fine as does the rest of the firmware

(I ended up only restoring data to just a couple of apps I had installed from the play store, and just reconfigured the rest manually.)
I get this every time I boot![]()

Will this package allow me to run any rom? I want to flash the Optimus Pro 2 port.

This package is designed to allow a person to run the stock d80020c firmware while retaining recovery. I can't comment on the pro2 firmware, as I'm not familiar with it.
However, lack of support doesn't mean that it won't work. I haven't tried it myself.

This is nice that there is a recovery for kitkat.... i want to do it but dont want to cause ill be flash happy with recovery. Nice work though.
Funny thing is that I rarely flash much of anything via recovery. However, it's priceless for nandroid backup and restore. I sometimes scramble my phone a bit while messing around.
I backup often, and copy the whole TWRP directory to a pc for safety.

I've seen that people have reported that issue on the D802, but I have to admit that I haven't seen the issue whatsoever on the my own D800. I have bluetooth on 100% of the time, and connected twice a day (on my commute to work and my commute back - each about 45 minutes.) My battery on 4.4.2 is about the same as what it was on 4.2.2 - however, "bluetooth" does show up higher on the battery app list of what is using power. Yet, it doesn't seem to have any real impact on overall battery life.Sigh...on every single KitKat Stock ROM ive tried so far...Bluetooth kills the battery, i mean it massacres it. I really dont get what the issue is...some sort of wakelock?
...and I'm trying to give EXTREMELY clear and detailed instructions so that people don't have to replace their phone. In fact, my instructions take a paranoid approach.I'm just trying to get some clarification so I don't have to go out and spend $400 on a new phone.
It's actually checking that loki_patch reports a d80010d bootloader. If not, it'll abort flashing.... and also I like the little check you added where it says d80010d bootloader good!

Would you rather be unaware of what your doing and then break your phone or be cautious and ask a question to the man in charge even if it makes you look like an idiot. I thought so...sorry for wasting your time.
