Anyone who has this flashed. Will I be able to edit APN Type on mobile networks?
On Straight Talk and unless I can edit APN Type I can't send or receive MMS.
Thanks
You can add a new APN

It might be better to go to the thread for that other FIRMWARE (it's not read-only memory) and ask if it can be flashed on a device with a jellybean bootloader/recovery and kitkat modem/rpm/tz.Can anyone confirm this works with the optimus g pro 2 rom?
If it does i might go back to flashing. Im fiending for a flash
Thank you for the response! You can add a new APN

You could be taking a bit of a risk, as that other FIRMWARE might use a different kernel... and that kernel may or may not work with the kitkat rpm/tz/modem... etc
Things are kind of complex with these LG G2 devices due to the way we have to work around LG's security.
All the kk roms have static issues so make a backup.

static issues meaning that when the screen turns off and when you turn it on its fuzzy?
if thats what it is i was getting that on my wifes phone.
That's a trick question when the OP has instructions labeled as "optional." Depending on which optional instructions you follow, you either will, or will not, have root.If I flash this exactly the way it says in OP, will I have root?
I have a d802 rom i would like to flash, i was told i have to flash the d800 kernel afterwards. does anyone have the link to the kk kernel
Me I would not try, the first line in the OP states This is for D800 (AT&T LG G2) users ONLY. Again I would be not be brave in this area....
I am on the software in this thread. I have a D800, I want to flash a D802 rom. Where is the KK Kernel?

In particular, take a look at #5.
It's in the package zip file, named boot.img. If you want to mix packages like that, I won't offer help/support for it.
It's not that I'm mean or an a-hole (I am, actually) but that it's a potential can of worms that I haven't done on my own device, and would discourage anyone from playing with unless they are able to deal with any problems on their own. (Wow.. that was a long running sentence!)
Good luck

I've seen that people have reported that issue on the D802, but I have to admit that I haven't seen the issue whatsoever on the my own D800. I have bluetooth on 100% of the time, and connected twice a day (on my commute to work and my commute back - each about 45 minutes.) My battery on 4.4.2 is about the same as what it was on 4.2.2 - however, "bluetooth" does show up higher on the battery app list of what is using power. Yet, it doesn't seem to have any real impact on overall battery life.Sigh...on every single KitKat Stock ROM ive tried so far...Bluetooth kills the battery, i mean it massacres it. I really dont get what the issue is...some sort of wakelock?
...and I'm trying to give EXTREMELY clear and detailed instructions so that people don't have to replace their phone. In fact, my instructions take a paranoid approach.I'm just trying to get some clarification so I don't have to go out and spend $400 on a new phone.
It's actually checking that loki_patch reports a d80010d bootloader. If not, it'll abort flashing.... and also I like the little check you added where it says d80010d bootloader good!

Would you rather be unaware of what your doing and then break your phone or be cautious and ask a question to the man in charge even if it makes you look like an idiot. I thought so...sorry for wasting your time.
